The sharp and graphic composition of geometric shapes and colors-- even the shadows, resemble a painting; Mondrian or John Register. Just amazing.
But, the first shot looks like she's moving furniture, and the last one looks like she got run over and flattened my furniture. It's kind of hilariously brilliant in that sense, if that was their intention. The middle shot with the model on the mauve carpet is sublime: The pose is relaxed and elegant; organic and abstract; playful and eerie-- perfectly defines what Marni is to me. If the other two had been more along the lines of this one, this would be the runaway best campaign to come along in some time.
