Every few years a brand presents a collection which is a stroke of genius and defines a new direction. This is the one for Marni.

i'm not super fond of the bright yellow, green and red prints, but i really like the navy floral patchworks and fuzzy stripes. the solids are very serene, with the sash being clearly derivative of black belts. interesting collection from marni. well done!

This is the 1st show that I excited about this season till now, I even did not get any feeling for Prada which has received so many positive comments.

I was thinking why does this look so good at times and yet I don't like it, then I realized that the styling has its great moments (mostly the pretty volumes and silhouettes and the whites) but except for the yellow printed dress, none of the pieces are particularly attractive to me nor I'd be interested in seeing them on anyone.
