Nineteen year old Sydney-sider Marnie Harris was one of the standout faces that IMA encountered during the Spring/Summer 2014 castings for Natalie Joos at New York Fashion Week. Discovered less than a year ago in an inner city vintage store by her mother agency EMG Models, Harris has been steadily building her modelling profile locally and abroad with editorial appearances in Vogue Gioiello, Oyster Magazine, Denizen, and the latest issue of Australian Elle. Photographer Bec Parsons hones in on Harris' delicate bone structure, exquisite baby blues, and gazelle-like 175 cm proportions for the editorial entitled "Varsity Blues". Harris is clearly 'best dressed' on campus as stylist Sara Smith combines urban street chic with high fashion looks from the Fall/Winter 2013 collections of Prada, Max Mara, Proenza Schouler, Gucci, and Stella McCartney. Harris appears to be channelling her own inner ambitions to pursue studies in medicine for the collegiate-themed editorial, which have since been placed on hold as she devotes her energies to full-time modelling. Harris is clearly on the radar of casting directors and designers in the major fashion capitals having recently been featured as a New Face to Watch on Models.com and on Vogue Italia's Focus on Models online site. With campaigns for Top Shop and Jones Bootmaker in the bag in addition to a spate of upcoming editorial interest, Harris is already well on her way to top of the class.
