I think no one talks about her in here. but I really like her work. she has a very good sense of style, is a friend of Jeremy Scott, As Four, is a major person in the opening of Kokon to Zai, she was Crash Fashion Director, worked (& sometimes still does) for Self Service, Jalouse (fr), Teen Vogue, Dazed & Confused, Glamour, Le Monde (supplement mode), Purple etc.

here is her site (not updated for a while) : http://www.mashaorlov.com/home.htm

and here are some works of her :

:woot:
I find her work has so many visual textures
A lot of the clothes and accessories she chooses seems to all have some interesting textural surface on it:D I love her choices

Is it possible to find out who the designers of these pieces are? I love for example the pieces in #5, #6...

you mean posts #5 and #6??? or images 5 & 6 in post #9?

if you mean flowers print in image 5&6
image 5 : coat Burberry Prorsum, dress Junko Shimada, brooch Yazbukey, converse.
image 6 : shirt-dress and trench-coat and bags (all matching flower print) Paul Smith, jupon en dentelle Jean Paul Gaultier, hat Yoshiko Créations, ring inès by dinh van.

wow, i have some work!!!making it tonight if i have time.
i can tell you that :
in #3 picture it's couture. it's Gaultier Paris
on #2, i think the bird is yazbukey (but i'm not sure)
on #1, it's couture. maybe lacroix.
for the whole Masha as a model (she's the naked girl with all the jewels!) i don't know but there're will be a lot of names.

number image from your pm.

I LOVE Masha Orlov's work! I was introduced to her in Purple. She did a gorgeous Koji Tatsuno spread back in the Spring 2000 edition. Been a fan ever since.

^in 2000? a story for Purple? i didn't know. and my Purples start in 2001!!! f***.
but YEAH she's doing a great work. she's now based in NYC but i guess she often comes to paris as she did a shoot for the new Mixte.
for my part, i love her work since her Versace spread in Crash (the idea was taken back by Miss Sixty or sthg cheap like this...) around 2003.

interesting work - thanks berlin

i don't know how things are going for her now in NY....
but she's got a page in a previous V (Brad PItt on the cover)...
and she's done things for a magazine which i totaly forgot the name, but it was good....
