I just got a job in Egypt as a on-staff holistic-doctor at a five star resort. Thing is I have no idea what would be perfect to wear in this setting. It is hot there, so I was thinking just a nice tailor-cut white linen top and bottom with a edgy doctor's bag. Anyone have any idea's?

Linen sounds like the best way to go. Just make sure you don't look too casual or too formal, it might scare people that are relaxing on their holiday.

 So how do you think I could look a bit more formal without going overboard. It's hard to add a tie to a linen outfit.

Good question.. I'm not sure what might go well with linen, but like you mentioned a tie would probably not work. Maybe someone else has ideas on this.
However, as long as you wear linen that doesn't wrinkle that much (so it doesn't look too casual), I don't think it'd be that much of a problem to skip a tie. I don't think I've seen many doctors wearing a tie.

 Let me know where you can find linen that doesn't wrinkle!!

I think you'd be fine to forego the tie danielboy. I've never seen a doctor with a tie either! Just a lab coat :p As long as the pieces of your outfit are professional (i.e. no tank tops, short shorts, etc.) then I think you would be dressy enough for a resort :flower:

 Linen wrinkles? Well that's no good then. Mabey light weight cotten instead? Also what would a good doctor-type bag be (ie brands)?

Thanks a million! :innocent:

Yes, linen definitely wrinkles ;) But in a cool way, imo. Meaning that I don't think it necessarily looks messy. It might still work given your environment, but lightweight cotton is a good alternative. Just keep your fabrics natural so that they'll breathe & you should be okay.

You may want to post your doctor bag question in the handbag forum. You'll probably get more responses from all of our handbag "experts" that peruse there :flower:

Erm...most practicing male physicians I know wear a tie. I guess at a resort you could go more casual however. My dad wears seersucker suits in the summertime in Houston. Seersucker is a very crisp, cool fabric, and doesn't wrinkle much.

As for a doctor's bag--I didn't know anyone but neurologists carried them anymore. This is probably the ultimate bag, the Louis Vuitton L'Ingénieux PM:
