I get what you mean... I recall an interview she gave where she said that Michael Bay wanted his girls either incredibly toned or slathered with bronzer, and the underlying tone was that she wasn't really happy with it. I don't think she likes being the sexy pinup, even though we've seen a lot of it from her. Judging by the NY Times article, her team is the one that pushed the sex-kitten image on her.

Well, I'm not saying she was forced into it against her will. But I don't think it was her idea to present herself as the sexy girl. I think her manager saw that she was really attractive, that she wasn't the next Jodie Foster, and that presenting her as the next Alba/Biel would get her noticed in Hollywood,which in turn would lead to endorsements, big films, magazine covers, etc... And, like many actresses before her, Megan took the advice so she could be a star. And hey... it worked.

Also, cosmetic surgery isn't always about attracting the opposite sex... a lot of people get it done to feel better about themselves. Especially if you work in an industry where people nitpick over every single part of your physical appearance, it can take its toll on your self esteem and you find yourself giving in.

Anyway, you can barely see her face in those pictures. She probably isn't wearing makeup because she's filming Transformers 3 and they use a lot of makeup... maybe she's just letting her skin breathe.

Wasn't one of her first on screen "parts" -girl in stars and stripes bikini dancing under a waterfall- in the movie Bad Boys II?
If you don't want to start your career as the sexy pin up or get typecast that way, then you wouldn't do a role like that. I think she is VERY comfortable with her sexuality and has a strong opinion about her image.

I think she probably signed on for all three Transformer movies since the beginning, so she has no choice but to work with Bay again. Considering the fame and opportunities it has garnered her since then, she would have been foolish not to do so.
