I think people give her a little too much credit. She has succeeded in getting some to buy into her anti-starlet image but what has she ever done to break society's "rules"? I don't think poking fun at Michael Bay or Zac Effron should be equated with breaking new and important ground for women. Anyways, people wouldn't even be listening to her if she wasn't hot. The interviewer just HAS to mention that he made the hottest girl on earth laugh repeatedly.

If she were unattractive and gave the same interview then she would be called a shrew, insecure or something far worse. However, because she's attractive people are hailing her like she's a messiah or something. Her foibles and shortcomings become endearing to people (hasn't she mentioned diarrhea before??). Basically, if you're attractive you can say whatever you want and be called ballsy rather than bitter and weird. I think this is just the same old story for women.

As a feminist, I think shes an asset to women and breaking the ever so growing expectation of us.
I think her being sexy is helping her to mouth off and maybe thats what we need...Its sad when the sexier you are the more recognition you gain.

I used to hate her but after reading her elle interview she made a lot of sense, so to be honest here, I dont like her cause shes hot; I think shes got a great mind and a great set of values that over ride the sexiness everyone seems to focus on first.
*shrug* She speaks the truth and makes a lot of sense.
