Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex

Fit-wise or style-wise?

Fit-wise it varies. The green cape dress was too long in the torso, for example. Style-wise I think it has improved
I meant fit wise. Style wise, I cannot judge because style is very personal. But subjectively her clothes appear to be the wrong size a lot. Too big usually but every now & then like the much praised turquoise dress, seems to me too small. That may have been intentional ... the tightness of the dress ... to show her curves. She does better with pants than dresses & coats. The pants always seem the right size.

And cargo pants (?) in Burbank (same project)

Boho vs. Breton

Bohemian Bourgeois, aptly nicknamed “bobo” by les Parisiennes, refers to a fusion of social classes, much like “Champagne socialists” in the UK, or “limousine liberals” in the states. And as loaded as all of that may be, let’s just for a moment, put the political suggestion to the side and simply talk about what it means to be “bobo chic.” I happen to love all things chic, and I certainly have a propensity for embracing all things Francophile, so this burgeoning “bohemian bourgeois” style, by way of the streets of the Marais, is right up my alley.

You know girls like this — who craft looks similar to the Olsen twins – equal parts designer, bespoke & pricey but with an air of having just rolled out of bed, or dragged through a very fashionable (albeit disheveled) tornado.

"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a special appearance during the Time 100 special, opening up about the importance of voting in the coming elections. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up with a congratulatory message to all those who made the TIME 100 list, before their remarks about voting and making your voice count.
“We’re just six weeks out from Election Day, and today is National Voter Registration Day. Every four years, we are told the same thing, that ‘This is the most important election of our lifetime,’” Meghan said. “But this one is. When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter. Because you do. And you deserve to be heard.” Harry added that he’s “not going to be able to vote here in the U.S., but many of you may not know that I haven’t been able to vote in the U.K. my entire life. (...) As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity.”
Meghan chimed in, saying that “as we work to re-imagine the world around us, let’s challenge ourselves to build communities of compassion.”
The former senior royals also talked about online misconduct including cyberbullying and cancel culture, and how it can affect mental health. “Seeing our world through the lens of community is so important. Because we need to redraw the lines of how we engage with each other, both online and off,” Meghan shared. “What we’re exposed to online seeps into how we engage with each other offline. It can train us to be kind, or it can train us to be cruel.”
Harry added, “But when the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our ability to have compassion and our ability to put ourself in someone else’s shoes. Because when one person buys into negativity online, the effects are felt exponentially. It’s time to not only reflect, but act.”
Meghan has recently been outspoken in the importance of voting, and has even cold-called Americans about it."

Meghan Markle insists she doesn't pay attention to 'criticism OR flattery' as she addresses Fortune's Most Powerful Women summit, saying she's focused on 'spending time' with Prince Harry and 'watching our little one grow'.
Meghan, 39, addressed the virtual summit on Tuesday afternoon, when she took part in a one-on-one conversation about 'creating humane tech'. During the conversation with senior Fortune editor Ellen McGirt, Meghan quoted Georgia O'Keeffe to claim that she pays no mind to public opinion about her.
'I have already settled it for myself so flattery and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free,' she quoted, according to Fortune's Twitter feed. The comments come as Meghan lost her court fight to block the Mail on Sunday from using explosive biography Finding Freedom as evidence in its defense case. Meghan is suing Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Mail on Sunday and MailOnline, for publishing extracts of a letter she wrote to her estranged father. Tickets for the virtual summit were limited to invited members, who pay a whopping $13,500 per year to be a part of Fortune's Most Powerful Women. Meghan spoke from her $14 million Santa Barbara home, and wore a striped shirt. She warned that 'bots and trolls' are 'shaping how we interact with each other' online and offline - and called for people not to 'contribute to misinformation'.

"Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during an interview in which they demanded an end to structural racism in Britain today. The couple spoke out to demand an end to 'structural racism' in Britain.
In a wide-ranging interview from their California mansion, Prince Harry revealed his 'awakening' to issues faced by black people after meeting his wife.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle praised Black Lives Matter protests in America after the death of George Floyd as 'beautiful' - but said this only applied to 'peaceful protest' and admitted many people found them 'inflammatory'.
Speaking on Zoom to the Evening Standard, Harry also weighed on Diversity's controversial BLM dance routine on Britain's Got Talent and said he was 'surprised' by the negative comments it had received.
In an article for the newspaper, the couple said: 'As long as structural racism exists, there will be generations of young people of colour who do not start their lives with the same equality of opportunity as their white peers. And for as long as that continues, untapped potential will never get to be realised.'
The interview is the latest in a long series of political interventions by the couple, including last week when Harry weighed in on the US election by urging voters to 'reject hate speech'.
The comments - which broke royal protocol - were widely interpreted as a call to vote out Donald Trump, and prompted Buckingham Palace to immediately distance themselves from Harry by noting he was 'not working member of the Royal Family'." -- dailymail.co.uk

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex discussed the stigma surrounding the topic and 'how we can all contribute to a healthier world: physically, mentally, emotionally and holistically' with high school students from their Santa Barbara villa.
The podcast, entitled Teenager Therapy, describes itself online as 'five stressed, sleep deprived, yet energetic teens sit down and talk about the struggles that come with being a teenager'.
The most recent episode starring Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, went live this evening and saw the couple talk to hosts Gael, Kayla and Thomas about their own experience of mental health.
Meghan said that the impact of the pandemic had pushed people increasingly toward the internet which she claimed opened up a 'vulnerability' and a place for 'disconnection'.
She said: 'I can speak personally because I'm told that in 2019 I was the most trolled person in the entire world - male or female.
'Now eight months of that I wasn't even visible. I was on maternity leave or with a baby. But what was able to just be manufactured and churned out. It's almost unsurvivable.'"
