Where are you from and where are you currently living?
I grew up both in upstate New York and on Long Island, and I've recently moved into my first apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan!

What were you into in high school?
My biggest things were film and music history. For a while, my main goal was to go to NYU film school and get into the indie scene, but that fell to the back-burner as I grew and changed and started modeling. I also spent so much of my free time learning about all the different rock music eras from the 50s and the 90s. There's always something new to listen to.

In what ways have you changed since then?
More than I can count! I was fortunate enough to visit seven countries the year that I graduated, and that amount of travel really widened my perspective on everything. My flatmate in Sydney taught me how to meditate, so since then, spirituality has taken centre stage in my life. I've also become such a bookworm; I went from never reading to averaging three books a week now.

What did you do for your last birthday?
I went to a rooftop gig/cookout at one of my favourite art galleries in Brooklyn. The eve of my birthday is Independence Day, so I always go where I can see the fireworks!

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever what would it be?
I think aging is such a beautiful and noble process that isn't valued enough, especially in American culture. It's sort of looked down upon and even feared, but it's definitely a triumph so it should be celebrated. I'm excited for the whole journey and every stage of my life to come. So I'm down to just keep evolving and enjoying it.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you choose?
It's bizarre, but as a kid I always dreamed of having a massive shark tank somewhere in my house.

What scares you most?
I don't want to waste any time being afraid! I want to always try and channel my mental energy into positive and progressive thought.

Best piece of advice you ever received?
Be mindful.

What is a skill you wish you possessed?
Oh, there are so many. I really wish I was fluent in a second language or musically proficient. But it's never too late to learn...

What celebrity do you have a crush on?
He's a bit controversial, but I think Russell Brand and I would have so much to talk about.

Best Youtube clip you've ever seen?
Maybe this is boring, but I could watch night sky time-lapse videos for hours. It's mesmerising to me.

Do you prefer crowds, small groups or being alone?
I prefer all three, depending on the situation and my mood.

What's on rotation on your iTunes at the moment?
I'm on a big Beastie Boys kick right now. Also tons of David Bowie and Oasis. It's a mess.
