Melrose is a rare model- she both designs clothing, as well as strutting the runways and appearing in ads. She grew up in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, and moved to San Diego to attend from The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Melrose's designs won her an award for "Best of Show" and "Most Creative." After placing second in Cycle 7 of ANTM, Melrose signed with Bleu Modeling Agency in California.
After deciding to expand her travels and portfolio, Melrose went across the pond to England where she signed with Storm Modeling Agency. She also went to Israel, where she is with MC2 Modeling, and is now in Hampburg, Germany, with Spin Model Management. Melrose also plans to design a line of clothing with her friend, Thyme.
