I was at Sephora the other day and saw that there's a line of skin/make-up products 'inspired by' the movie 'Memoirs of a Geisha'.
They have such things as 'Fresh Rice Face Wash' ; 'Shimmer Powder with Crushed Pearl' and 'Flower Petal Face Mask'.

Has anyone heard any reviews about these products? (anything 'inspired by' a movie sounds like it would be crappy to me)

I'm on a mission to get porcelain skin so I find this highly interesting....:innocent:

Then again, I'm suspicious of any company that tries to capitalize on the popularity of a movie by releasing such products. :ninja:

Oh yeah...they're made by the company Fresh.

I saw them online. To me, they look like novelty products to tie in with the movie's release. I haven't used them but they look a bit hokey to me.

I think they're just gimicky, and most likely don't really do much other than smell nice.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have read the book, and I don't even see where they could get these products from lol. Geisha are known for only washing their hair once a week to maintain their hair style, and often use stuff like wax and charred wood or clay as pigments on their face lol. They never had face masks lol!

saw them too, i love their packaging, its a cute small gimmicky gift for xmass, something i could get for a girlfriend for a laugh

Yes, nothing more than gimmicky - trying to capitalize on the movie....
