Fade to Black said:faust you are lucky if your dior raw jeans have remained intact! Which season is yours from, perhaps an older version might be made of sturdier quality? My S/S 05 pair is already starting to wear in the crotch...then again i wore it pretty much every day this last semester at school.
I know - I'm more inclined to think of Lad Musician that way! Anyhow, i wasn't impressed with the Acne jeans I saw in the stores. I kinda liked some of the clothing they featured (the double-breasted short jackets are on my hit list), but will reserve judgement until I actually try anything on.Arturo21 said:*thread revived*
Acne Jeans - according to JC Report - the "new Dior Homme" I find this hilarious![]()

DriversHigh said:I've been looking for slimmer fitting jeans (however, not skin tight!) since I want to shy away from all of my jeans that aren't (except for my Diesels which are slim in their own right) My options as of right now are:
APC
Cheap Monday (which is probably a definite because of the price)
Corpus
which one would you guys go with and why?
P.S. If people choose APC I think I know the reason![]()
I heartily agree about H&M's slim fit. I have a couple of pairs and I get nothing but compoliments for them, am constantly getting stopped by people who think they might be a brand that cost 5 times as much. Yes, they're not the highest quality denim, but the fit is right and the price is pretty much unbeatable. At the very least, they're a great addition to your denim wardrobe.Acne said:I would stay away from Dior Homme and Helmut Lang since the label is so overpriced and the quality isn´t that good.
I would go with APC jeans or Acne, but before chistmas i discovered H&M Denim line. I absolutely love it.
The quality is good and price is even better. Try them and you can afford to puy a pair of jeans every month.
Go to www.hm.com and choose USA and then go to the Romeo & Juliet denim site to check them out.
Fashion isn´t allways expensive.
faust said:Oh yeah? I could've sworn I saw $250 in Jeffrey, but I wouldn't put my life on it. Anyway, at the first wave of sales, they'll be within Arturo's range. Of coures, the chances of getting them ons sale are slim.
Johnny said:Arturo, I'd agree on the APCs. Proper narrow loom selvedge denim, unwashed, good price, nice fit.
Also try Levis Vintage Clothing, my personal favorite for reasonable priced "proper" jeans. Try the 1955s, 1944s or, for a slimmer fit, 1947s.
Others to try - 5EP (not raw, but one wash, very good quality selvedge, quite slim striaght cut (see www.hanon-shop.com)), Sugar Cane, PRPS (only look at the one wash selvedge, the "distressed" ones are rubbish), 45rpm (v nice but pricey, and again only one wash rather than selvedge) and Nudie (do a v nice nice unwashed "dry" mid blue selvedge jean).
As you might be abe to tell, for raw denim I wouldn't recommend "fashion" brands - go for selvedge, japanese woven denim if possible. A lot of fashion raw denim is just indigo cotton without the real character of ringring spun selvedge denim. On the whole, APC best for the bucks.
