oh yeah? this looks much better in real life. it is made by a fine art artist and will be made by very fine silky coton. how much would you pay it max?

faust said:You know, I can go to Century21 in New York that carries about 20-30 of these Rogan clone brands (from Buddhist Punk to Rogan, to James Pearse to Three Dots, to Keannan Dufty, to Loomstate, to Blue Blood etc, etc, etc, ) with all their cheap overstock and buy it for $40, how about that?
I wouldn't buy it. I just said I like the graphic. And I get the feeling you're trying to do research on me.Y.I.C said:oh yeah? this looks much better in real life. it is made by a fine art artist and will be made by very fine silky coton. how much would you pay it max?

Fuuma said:Are you saying this because:
a)you've seen CYC products and dislike the design/quality?
or
b)you're taking a wild guess?
Because they're really top notch construction, especially compared to other brands mentionned on the thread (DH, Cloak, AA, etc.). Like everything else the designs are hit or miss but I certainly wouldn't rank CYC among "clone brands".
surver said:anyone try Serum VS Venom?
jhaime said:hey surver, I checked them out & it's an interesting brand philosophy...however, I'm not entirely sure who they aim to hit with it, or what stores...as most urbaners who can afford that kind of gear want a name or full scale print, which is instantly recognisable...like Bape or Nom de guerre...(incidently I hear whispers Dover Street Market are looking to take them on...). I'm just not so sure who is going to fork out $3000 on a coat which neither urban nor avant-garde, however that could work in their favour I guess...
back to the topic of hoodies...'The Cast' are doing some interesting looking silk lined ones for $300 on their site...you can see how they fit in the press section...however the prints are done on a Lee Hoodie, so i'm not sure where they plucked the $300 dollar mark from...out of the air I pressume..![]()

jhaime said:hey fuuma, are you referring too the prints when you say design regarding The Cast hoods??? If so then I do agree, the prints are quite nice. The t-shirts remind me of Undercover in the way they are styled in their press section, especially with the print assosiation.
I can't decide whether to return it or not.jhaime said:Out of interest, could any of the New York residents here fill me in on what the quality of the Imitation of Christ RTW menswear hoods are like??? Press surrounding the womenswear tends to be negative, however is the menswear just as bad???
thanks.
Same reason I like anything else to be well-fitted...it doesn't look sloppy and crappy.Crakk said:Why do you all like such slim fitting hoodies?
vigge said:Sure! Agreed about that.
I haven't studied AA that well (doesn't exist were I live) so. But I think it's like a low-price brand in US (or am i totally wrong?) Anyway, yes Baizilla the scarf is intriguing for me, I like scarfs so that's why.![]()
Izreal said:I've got the DH scarf hoodie, and it's definitely my favorite hoodie. I get compliments from girls every time i wear it, it's just so original and great fitting!
The built-in scarf is what makes it unique, as well as the over-sized hood, so comparing it to a basic AA is pretty dumb, not to mention the fabric is much softer, it's made in italy...and it's DH, need i say more lol...
Of course I would like to get my hands on some older DH hoodies as well, or a cloak one because they are very nice. Anyway I like my scarfhoodie very much..
(Got compliments aswell.... haha
