Ohisashiburi desu Runner! How have you been?
I just logged on for the first time in weeks for the purpose of PM'ing you where I can find a nice wool gauze men's scarf, preferably in navy...funny to find you right here discussing the topic and even funnier to discover that you in fact wear a navy wool gauze scarf! ^^ Any ideas would be kindly appreciated... I adore the ones you've chosen to post; just the style I'm looking for.

my navy wool gauze scarf was a gift and maybe it's not available now.
I saw some navy-ish one from Faliero Sarti A/W 06 at Arts & Science.
it looked like wool gauze. but I don't know the exact composition. sorry
do you like Okura in Daikanyama?
they always have indigo stuff. you might find some indigo blue scarf there.
that's all I thought of right now.
if I come across scarves like that, I'll report back.

I'd forgotten about Okura, that would be worth checking out. Navy blue would be nice, but something like gray would be nice too. Thanks!

so I run across a gauzy wool scarf from Issey Miyake.
it looked boiled and crinkled. it's two-toned, the colors change where it folds.
for example the half of it is dark grey, the other half is dusty light blue.
dark grey/dusty light green etc.
you could wear it lightly twisted so that the colors are mixed,
or you use either side of it monochromatically.
and I thought dark grey/black version might be good.
the tonal contrast is subtle there.
also there was a dark navy one at Giorgio Armani if it's not too oyaji in this case.
it's rather sheer and gauzy cachmere/silk. that navy color and the texture are very good.
the price is better than Miyake one.
but it has sort of night blue belts (stripes) at both ends and is edged finely with that blue.
could be elegant except the little brand name written on it.

kind of like LV Luggage, i think a burberry check scarf is classic, no matter how many people might be wearing it. i'd go for other colors than Nova though, i like the gray and navy colors!

In my opinion there is nothing more stylish than a man in a great coat with a nice big scarf, it's actally quite rare as most guys don't care that much about their scarfes!
The nova check one's are spamming the thread though!
