Well, he's been wearing Balmain-like jackets for decades.

yeah, it was like Balmain dedicated a whole collection in his tribute.
Yeah, I just intended to stress the fact Mike was wearing originally female clothes and making it look good.
Anyway, I hope this comes across the right way but I don't like to call those jackets Mike was wearing 25 years ago as Balmain-like. Maybe it's just me but it sort of misleads. They have a long long history and I try to always give the credit where it's due. : )
Those jackets stem from actually real hussar uniforms (dolman in particular) which inspired a whole pool of designers, apparently.

^oh yeah definitely, Michael has been doing that style for ages, to speak about them in today's term, these are really Michael Jackson jackets made by Balmain.
Michael was probably like, hey that Christophe Decarnin did my jackets pretty damn well, I'm owning them.

1. I think he was sent those jackets by the House of Balmain. Those were some of the hottest items of the season-even celebrities and socialites and the uber wealthy had troubles getting pieces of the collection. And Decarnin must be inspired by him, so...
2. Which collection was dedicated to him? SS09? A lot of Decarnin's collections have his style in them
3. I think those jackets were like Sgt. Pepper jackets that the Beatles did in the 60s as well as the ones DJGroove posted
