Allow me to be ever so inquisitive, but what was the deal between Michael and Brooke?

They've been going out as each other's date from the early 80s (or earlier?) to the early 90s. Brooke was still about a teenager, then in a few years time she went to Princeton, and at 22 reportedly lost her virginity to some college bloke.
So I would assume at this time Michael was out of the picture? It was about 1987 during the Bad era, and (I assumed again) around this time Tatiana Thumbtzen came into Michael's picture.
Then in 1993 Brooke was dating Michael again. The two went to the 1993 Grammys together, and Michael had told Oprah that he was at the time dating Brooke, that he had been in love with Brooke, and another girl (could this be Tatiana?).
Then came 1994 and Michael married LMP, and it seemed like he and Brooke never saw each other again.

I know, none of my business, but I can't help wondering.

I think they started going out in the early 80's, yes, but they met in the 70's. And I never actually thought they were a couple, more like friends with crushes.
The other girl Mike was talking about in 1993 could've been Lisa Marie (matter of fact I think it was her cos they met before Oprah interview)

I know he was heartbroken when Diana Ross married that Norwegian guy in 1986. Didn't even attend the wedding.
Well, if Mike ever truly madly loved a woman it definitely was Diana. Imagine if they had married! Demi and Ashton of the 80's. Heh...

I really remember that the word 'heartbroken' was used to describe Michael's reaction upon learning about LMP's marriage.

But DJ, I think you're absolutely right about Diana Ross!!! In fact I too have always thought Michael was into Diana, it was just that she wasn't into him that same way.
Or maybe she did love him too, but it just wasn't realistic for them to be together at the time?
If they had gotten married, Michael would have been a totally different person, maybe not as sad?

Some tidbit about the two:

Jackson also starred in "Diana," produced in 1981 by Diana Ross Productions -- her first TV special not produced by Motown Productions.

In that show, Ross introduced Jackson as "the talent," and "my baby Michael Jackson" before the two sang "Ease on Down the Road," and other songs.

But it was their banter that received most of the attention.

"I knew you were going to be a star, I really did," Ross said to Jackson during the special. "What I didn't know, what I didn't know, is that you were going to get so sexy."

Jackson, in turn, said he always knew Ross would be sexy, and then motioned for the crowd when he asked, "Don't you guys think she's sexy?"

Michael never dated Tatiana. There are different reasons why, some say his "people" tore them apart after she kissed him onstage and others say she came off as too strong. Remember, he wrote 2 songs about groupies, Billie Jean and Dirty Diana (though some think it's about Diana Ross. It could be, but the woman's profile doesn't fit Diana), who would push themselves towards him, if that makes sense.

And anyways, there's rumors that he lost his virginity to Diana, but a lot more people think he lost it to Lisa Marie. Apparently Remember the Time is about Lisa Marie.

Sorry-just reporting what I heard from Michael's IMDB board. I go there every now and then. Apparently Prince's name is really Michael Joseph Jr., he just called him Prince because it's Katherine's father's name and he was his first born, so he was most likely to call him the royalty name (he was the Prince to Michael's King-make sense?)

And yeah different stories about Tatiana, so she was only a could-be.

And you're right Prince's actual name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr.
Between Michael's two sons the real Prince is Blanket!!
But hey I didn't know Prince was named after Michael's grandfather, I always heard it was after long time rival and friend -the- Prince!
To me the best way to subdue your enemy is to name your son after him.

I think everyone agrees he and Tatiana were good friends-after that it gets blurry.

Ugh, i get so confused with his kids' names. Because Blanket's name is Prince Michael II, when it should be Prince Michael I because "Prince michael I" is michael Joesph Jackson Jr. Somehow their birth certificates go leaked online by TMZ, according to IMDB, and it says everything legally
