Michael Kors Collection S/S 2023 New York

I don't know what's going on with MK, but I'm LOVING it!

The last collection was very chic and this one is no different... What can I say about Malgosia and Carmen? We need them TOGETHER in the next CAMPAIGN! Happy to see Karmen too... Many models from her era have disappeared from the map.

Carmen :heart::heart::heart::heart:

Pretty good collection, it has a flair and richness to it that most other minimalist collections these days badly need.

love love love! wonderful cast and beautiful cutting dresses. Solid collection and gorgeous show indeed.

Pleasantly surprised that I like this collection. I'm loving the Elsa Peretti for Tiffany's belt vibe.

Fabulous!
Such a good collection.
The confidence of doing you in the best way only you can do.
People thinks there’s a need for pretentious ideas, complicated concepts…No! The beauty of a beautiful cast wearing beautifully made clothes that are timeless yet relevant is unmatched. NYFW only matters thanks to those handful of veterans.

I really love the tailoring as always. Those pants are fabulous, totally me. Each time I see a good MK collection I wonder why I don’t have any MK piece in my wardrobe!
The caftans…From the red one to the flowy ones with the prints. The paréos as eveningwear skirts.. So many great moments.
The menswear is also very desirable. Simple but effective.
I’m maybe less convinced by the fringes but they adds tension, that touch of « creativity ».

Nobody comes to MK, RL or even TF expecting new ideas but rather a fresh take on a known vocabulary. And MK did that!

There’s no direct copy of recent fashion but references to icons, staples of American Sportswear: Halston, Norell, Peretti. It’s nothing new, it has been done by many people before and even by Kors himself but it still works because it’s done with great confidence.

This might be the collection that does it for me and Kors!

What a pleasure to have Carmen and Karmen back.

Love the jetsetter vibe very chic and unpretentious. He needs to bring back Carmen Kass as the original MK Jetsetter.

It’s nice! He actually made that trendy chartreuse shade work…unlike the rest of the collections so far.

It’s safe and pretty, but I’ll take it over so many failed “experiments” this week.

Oh thank you MK ! Faultless collection, impeccable casting and the styling is finally good.

At this point we just want beautiful well cut clothes. Tired of brands trying to be absolutely cool, edgy, intellectual cause they end up just being ugly and poor copycats.

That’s a fantastic collection of wearable pieces with top notch casting. With so many collections and designers going for artsy or hookers or whatever else, it is refreshing to see a mature and elegant collection. I can appreciate Michael Kors.

Now just get Donatella to do a mature collection.

very chic indeed but a little déjà vu… there are very good pieces though.

the casting is fantastic and I thank him for that!

Really pretty.

Does anyone know how the RTW / mainline sells? It's unfortunate this is so NICE and I feel like there's been too much damage with brand dilution to actually sell it.

He knows what he's doing, he knows what he's about and I respect it. And it is nice to have more of a jet set glamour feel to some collections.

It’s also great see a fantastic example of good, hearty and genuine American fashion. It may be one facet of it, but this is what NYFW needed because everyone else has been so derivative and kind of pointless.

Don’t particularly like the sweaters around the necks and wish the sequin fabric was a little nicer in quality… Just gotta amp it up a little bit. Love a sequin, don’t get me wrong, but the fabric looks a bit too sparse, not shiny enough or the sequins aren’t large enough.

These small nags I can look over though because with a cast like this, it makes up for it. You can see some of the models just absolutely feeling it.

Love MK and always will. He really is New York’s most consistent designer. My only critique is that he continues to rely on that strong shouldered blazer and coat. It is becoming very, very repetitive. I wish he would just expirement with altering his blazers just once.

Also, how many times are we going to see the tank and trouser combo (look 3) this NYFW?!?! It is literally everywhere! I know BV was not the first to pair a tank with a pant, but it is clear they have inspired every designer in New York this season.

Afters years I see a full-octane glamorous show in NYFW, soothing for the eyes and soul.

It's very good. Definitely a highlight of NYFW.

I love the fact that MK didn't lose himself trying to chase what's cool and trendy, instead he focus on what make success in the first place.

The styling is perfect. Clean and effective. No gimmicks or unnecessary details. Kudos to Carlos Nazario. This is what we want from you Carlos.

This collection is the very definition of a safe investment.
