Michael Kors F/W 2015.16 New York

I feel like he does this every few seasons, rehashes the Annie Hall look with the gun check jackets, etc but this time he did a new modern spin. It would have been nice to see him do something different.

The dyed furs look cool though, and thats coming from someone who doesn't really like fur.

That's one big collection! I really like, the fur looks good, the prints are nice. I love Karmen's dress at the end!

Whatever you say about a Michael Kors show, you can never deny it's chicness!! That coat on Lily is amazing and the dress on Karmen is beyond!! ♡

like this , some really beautiful looks

shoes are so bad though - honestly i feel like i have only seen around 1 nice shoe this season in ny!

You know, pre-show, at the livestream, Kors was apparently handwriting some catchphrases on the screen, and one of them, displayed right after the show, read "Get ready for some fashion magic". I thought it was unbelievably pretentious and exaggerated when I first read it... and then the show began, and he totally lived up to his word. What he did here is indeed, if not fashion magic, Kors magic.

Those furs are gorgeous!!
I adore those tailored, masculine pieces, Especially the cape on Hanne Gaby.

Warm, luxurious, chic, beautiful accessories, extremely wearable. I love everything.

I love this! Especially the dress on Julia B!

He really is the best at what he does!

He is does this similar style season after season, but I am SO thankful he does and i always desperately want at least 75percent of the collection every time! Some people I have spoke to call his work mundane, but I think his look is so New York, that though coming from an Englishman.

I could live without the fur, but this is really just gorgeous ... beautiful classic fall clothes and colors. Well done.

He has just really been consistently good. This collection is no exception.

I guess what I really like about this is how timeless his work feels; you could literally swap this and his previous F/W show and they wouldn't feel out of season, which means most of this will still look chic two to three years from now. As others have said, there are some experimental pieces here and there, but mostly it is luxury at its best. I am in love with the furs and the way Natasha worked hers on the runway!

this collection does nothing to me, nothing new nothing ground breaking

The classic fabrics mixed with fur, pops of gold, the slim ladylike silhouettes, the minimal gowns, the Annie Hall references -- I love, love, love this. :crush:

He's had a good thing going on for several seasons now, and has the one redeeming collection of NYFW this time around for me, stay the course Kors.
Yes! You described it perfectly. I can't stop looking at the pictures. I used to not care at all for MK some years ago, and he's been getting really interesting and consistent. It's exactly what I want to see in NYFW. Beautiful, wearable, modern and feminine with impeccable execution.

I don't think all great designers have to be trendsetters.

And thank f*ck he is not copying the trendsetters like so many other designers do these days. Or super awkwardly trying to pretend he is a trendsetter and forcing crap down the runway like quite a few others.

I loved this, all of it!! but it reminded me a lot of DVN '13

I would kill for Natasha Poly's fur, the color combination is to die for!:stuart:
