Michael Kors S/S 2014 New York

Positively my favorite collection in NYFW so far! Michael Kors is an absolute gem of a designer! The collection was so beautiful! Loved the very vintage-vibe it gave off even though some pieces were extremely modern. My favorite look would have to be Andreea Diaconu's gorgeously-fit sweater and ultra-modern leather snake-skin skirt and matching purse. She looked so chic!!

Classic touch on modernity with a hint of American romanticism! Such a fresh presentation after the (quite) overwhelming displays of 90's nostalgia by the other designers.

Brava, Michael Kors! Brava!

Such a good collection. I've been loving all of his recent work, but I'm really happy that he went in more of a demure direction rather than giving us graphic sportswear, which would have been so obvious for Spring.

Whilst there's nothing revolutionary about the clothes and particularly the 1950s inspiration, it's like he took the elements from some of his hit and miss collections (the cardigans and loose belts recall S/S 2011) and made them work within a clearer context.

As much as I hate fur, I got to tip my hat off to MK for being one of the first to make it work for Spring. The school girl and vintage bikini silhouettes are also gorgeous. Only complaint is that the menswear was a bit 'standard' comparatively, but still some good, wearable stuff there.

Favourite collection of the season so far!

Loved it. One of the best collections from NY. MK did a great job of fusing some vintage shapes and ideas with modern sensibilities. The end result: chic perfection. So understated, so sophisticated and very pretty.

The only look I didn't like was the third one out, white neck sweater and white long skirt (pants?). It was ugly and didn't go with the rest of it.

The men's pieces were terrible though. Those oversized pants should never make a comeback.

I loved this show but some dresses were dead on bottega Veneta s/s 13

Most of this looks so chic! Not anything groundbreaking, but that isn't what I expect from the brand anyway. But there are so many lovely pieces here and personally, I love the color palette!

A lot of wasp-y looks, as usual, and yes, I recalled the Bottega Veneta 40s-style dresses as well.

While I love the usual preppy approach and general vibe of this collection, and also like most of the pieces in general, I have a little concern with some of the fabrics. Some of those green looks remind me of the old curtain outfits the kids wore in The Sound of Music.:D

It's nice and really wearable. I can see myself wearing most of the looks but it seem a bit too all-over-the-place. It does not look very solid.

Kors makes clothes that women want to wear. I don't expect a lot of of him because what he does, he does right.
