Thrilled to bits to see Michelle at Paris HC and she looks fantastic everywhere. It's great to see a model showing strength and maturity and doing it with such style.
Now I'd really like to see fine editorial work and since Meisel is rolling out all his old favs lately, he would do well to include Michelle in this crowd.....Vogue Italia would do nicely, thanks.

“I was a real nerd in school,” confessed model-mother Michelle Alves. Not that you’d know it now—the five foot eleven beauty rocked an über-cool Givenchy jacket and leather leggings by The Row during her visit to the Vogue offices, like the coolest kid in class. “No, I was!” she insisted. “My parents were worried about me being too serious, so they signed me up for a local beauty contest.” There she caught the attention of various modeling agencies and so began an illustrious career, starting out as an old-school fit model for Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. “I was never seen without red lipstick back then!” Michelle said. Her career has since skyrocketed with campaigns for Valentino, Missoni, Michael Kors, and Christian Dior. Add to that two small children, and it’s a wonder she’s got time for anything else. “I do research in L.A. for a charity called Success for Kids, and we’ve just remodeled our home in Coldwater Canyon,” Michelle said. Sounds like a beautiful case of revenge of the nerds!
