this editorial is indeed stunning ! and i cannot wait to get my hands on this issue.
heard there's an interesting dialogue with jansson and daria about retouching. is there ?
i guess that's why most of this editorial isnt retouched )or maybe a tiny bit ? i even wonder whether daria wears make-up or doesnt.

Mikael retouches all of his stories and is very very attentive to them. These images are definitely retouched, but sensitively. It helps that Mikael is a master of light.

Daria never wears make-up outside of shoots because (so I've been told) she's actually quite allergic to it. She doesn't mind wearing it for shoots because she gets paid so well, but for the most part she goes without. For this shoot, it hardly matters if she was wearing a little makeup because the retouching would have addressed any problems that would upset the natural/raw look Mikael was going for.

Generally models don't see the images at all until they print, I haven't heard of Mikael consulting with Daria on jobs.
