Miles Davis is one of my favourite jazz musicians. His career spanned from the mid-1940s up to his death, at the age of 65, in 1991. Throughout his life, Miles changed the course of music several times. He also had a brilliant sense of style, and modified his appearance as the decades went on.
A few years ago, I met someone who had met Miles in the late 1960s. He said that Miles was "the most handsome man I've ever seen". I think I agree with his assessment!
