thank you again runner!...
i love the names...

and look!...
the kitty pin!!!...

i guess now i can call it the tama pin!!!...
:heart::heart::heart:

* though i notice he still calls some cat print necco...
the same way he uses different names for butterfly...
i guess that helps to differentiate certain themes which he uses regularly...
i like that...
and there always seems to be some version of a stripe...
*always beautiful as well...

i find all these prints very soothing and relaxing somehow...
they are so playful and fun...
they just bring a smile to my face...
:p...

this is something random...
but i found this independant record that was released in 2003...
called forest parade...

seems like more than coincidence somehow...
:ermm:...

just an fyi-
i found that bird in brooklyn is now carrying some items from mina perhonen...
http://shopbird.com/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=121

i went to the little archive shop in tokyo and purchased some socks...
^_^...
i love socks!

i also found some other shops carrying some items from the collection...
i could spot them across the store...
the prints are so distinctive...

OT
i also came across another label called sally scott that has a similar feel...
the shop is so nice...it drew me in and i fell in love with everything...

there is a broadcasting tower named skytree near asakusa.
you can see the staff uniforms designed by minagawa there.

btw, it's yohji that designed the uniforms for JR central (the railway company).

the archive shop, "minä perhonen piece", is originally a place for archive fabric wastes' rebirth as fresh products through being patchworked, appliqued, etc. that's why they are sewing the pieces on the spot like a bakery who serves bread fresh from the oven. and maybe it has something to do with the walls of old jacquard punched cards too.

these chairs with those waste pieces from the past textiles currently displayed and sold at isetan shinjuku are made of certain part of walnut, oak, or beech that they would normally throw away because of the knots.
