Why do people say "commercial model" like it's a bad thing. Aren't commercial models more successful in terms of money and popularity? I don't pay a lot of attention to models so to me (and probably the general public) non-commercial models are just random faces you see around for a few years, whereas commercial models are name, faces, personalities...

Yes that's right, commercial models do make more in terms of money and are better recognized by mainstream society. I think high fashion modeling is seen as 'better' because of the labels that are being modeled--Hermes, Chanel, Kors, etc... are more exclusive and prestigious, they're high end. They're the labels that people wish they could be wearing whereas the commercial stuff is attainable by pretty much anyone. That's my guess anyway. Nothing wrong with commercial modeling though IMO. I love Miranda!

I have to agree with this. So many people in my school actually dislike high fashion models touting them "ugly" I wanted to cry anyways I agree commercial models earn more money etc but its jsut kind of sad.. I have no idea why though...
