Miranda Kerr hot for Hollywood
MIRANDA Kerr is walking in the footsteps of her David Jones predecessor, Megan Gale, in more ways than one. Australia's newest supermodel has revealed she is also interested in a Hollywood movie career.
"At this stage, I'm really enjoying where I'm at doing the modelling but if an opportunity came up, I would definitely look into it," Kerr said.
If she were looking for tuition, she could always turn to her boyfriend, Pirates of the Caribbean star, Orlando Bloom, who has come to Sydney with her on her first tour of duty as DJs' new ambassador.
"I'm really happy he is here with me," Kerr said.
"Because we have such a busy schedule, we really try and spend as much time as possible together."
But it was business first yesterday, as Kerr caused a commotion among customers who were surprised to see her checking out the local store.
Last night she dined with DJs designers at a gala feast.
"It's so nice to see everyone like (David Jones designers) Alex Perry and Collette Dinnigan, who I have a history with," she said.
Kerr is looking to spend more time with her beau at Royal Randwick on Saturday for the Australian Jockey Club's running of the David Jones Doncaster Day.
"I'm taking him to the races, which we are really looking forward to," she said.
And while there has been much talk of a nervous Bloom getting to meet Kerr's dad, she believes there is nothing for her boyfriend to fear.
"My Dad (John) is the most easy-going, relaxed guy," she said. And Kerr believes Bloom will be a hit with him.
"My Dad's happy if I'm happy," she said.
