A lovely interveiw of miranda from, miami Beach.
Miranda Kerr -- Ocean Drive's November cover girl -- will be just one of many Victoria's Secret angels swooping in for the grand relaunch of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Nov. 14-15. We caught up with the 25-year-old Aussie beauty, rumored to be dating
Orlando Bloom, about her crazy business and how she stays looking so cool and so hot at the same time.
What's your secret?
I am genuinely very interested in health and studied nutrition at college before I started modeling full-time. I thought I would someday become a naturopath or a therapist of some sort. Funnily enough, today all my friends come to me for advice on food and vitamins.
What's your diet like?
Everything in moderation is the key to living a long and healthy life. I eat fresh and organic foods wherever and whenever possible.
What about working out?
I practice yoga every given chance and have a tough trainer when I want an intense cardio workout. We do everything from boxing to running to light weights. I also make an effort to visit the gym at least once every second day.
How much pressure is there to stay thin?
It upsets me to see girls neglecting or starving their body. Thin and healthy is one thing, but thin and unhealthy simply sends the wrong message. I love the fact designers and industry spokespeople are taking a stand against size zero. It sets a better example to the young girls who look to models and celebrities for guidance.
What was your most fabulous assignment?
I recently had the chance to shoot in Gunnedah, the town in Australia where I grew up. While it might not be exotic to some, it really is where my heart and home will always be.
What made you want to model?
Friends entered me into a magazine modeling competition a few years ago. I didn't even know they had done it until I was called to the finals and won. Up until then I was very much an Australian country girl who preferred riding dirt bikes and climbing trees rather than being girlie and dressing up.
Who is your inspiration?
My grandmother is definitely responsible for making me appreciate being a woman and enjoying every aspect of that. She is one of the most elegant and poised women I have ever met.
