Miranda sales in to DJs
SUPERMODEL Miranda Kerr jetted into Sydney today for the launch of the David Jones clearance sale at the flagship Elizabeth street store
The dazzling DJs ambassador braved bare legs in a tarten thigh skimming Zimmerman skirt and cropped Sass and Bide jacket as she walked the red carpet.
Stopping to sign autographs for dozens of rugged-up fans and bargain hunters, some of whom left home before 5am to get a glimpse of the star, Kerr rang a brass bell to open the event, before perusing the women's fashion and shoe department.
Kerr brushed aside the unfortunate news that former boyfriend, Adrian Camilleri had faced court on fraud charges yesterday, after claims he misused loan funds to support her lavish lifestyle.
She refused to comment on the case, looking momentarily flustered when his name was mentioned.
''I'm very happy to be back in Australia,'' she said. ''I'm thrilled to be here.''
Absent a diamond ring, Kerr also side stepped claims of an imminent engagement to movie star boyfriend, Orlando Bloom.
''No, no engagement ring,'' she said.
Fan Monique Rusin, 21, who left her Mount Druitt home at 4am this morning, just missed out on an autograph from Kerr, but still nabbed a $100 gift voucher as one of the first one hundred shoppers through the door.
''She's beautiful,'' Miss Rusin said. ''Everyone wishes they could be like her.''
