I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you guys about Miranda being the darling of our nation... I think a lot of people know her, but none of the people who I have spoken to where she has come up in the conversation have ever had anything nice to say about her But having said that, the avenues where she has been seen by the Australian public are mostly tv/radio interviews, and she always seems quite vapid in those. BUT this is her thread so I won't delve too much into the negativity, just wanted to post my opinion

I disagree. I don't know, I have never experienced any negativity. Maybe it's just here, but people simply adore Miranda from what I've seen and heard. I see her as the nations darling, she is always proudly referred to in the Aussie media as "Our Miranda." In her DJ's signing, weren't there fans crying from her apparence, and people took a day off Uni just to see her? She has reached house-hold name status. No doubt about that. It;s nice to know a model has somehow made some sort of reaction here.

OMGOSH. Paz & Larushkaa! Thanks for posting the old commercials! Sooooo adroable! It's nice to see how far she's come since those days of doing cola and eye contact commercials. Cute.

Maybe we travel in different circles, but nobody I know is really that impressed by her I think she has nice candid style though I'm not sure I would ever look to her as a role model though, she seems a bit ditzy.

Everybody sees beauty different in their own eyes, but i think miranda is pretty, but i wouldn't call her "gorgeous" or anything quite special. you have to remember she has a face packed with make-up and there's loads of photoshopping! and i agree with Belowen, i wouldn't exactly call her a role model.

I also know a few Aussies who don't find her attractive at all or more, find her annoying.
I guess it's a matter of personal opinion, that's it.

I like her candid style too, some of her accessories are great and they are now in my closet.

I think it's really a matter of taste... Personally I love her, and so do 99% of my friends but then again everyone is different and has different tastes and and opinions. I think we should all value that

^To me she has a great personality , if only you read her interviews and serious tv shows. Honestly shes a bit 'ditzy' sometimes and even I can dislike her personality especially on rove interviews but if you see her real interviews..t he ones that arent live and just intimate shes got a great personality. I do look up to her because shes all about positive energy. If only you read some of her interviews/articles where I know everything is usually scripted but she ALWAYS mentions how important inner beauty is .. also about the make up thing .. shes naturally gorgeous to me and one of the more naturally beautiful angels. I've seen all the other angels without makeup and to me .. she , Adriana and Doutzen are the only ones who didn't look average whereas no offence especially Ale did not impress me sans makeup. Meh its all personal opinion so I'm not here to start a fight or aggravate anyone!

She does come across as being a bit ditzy in interviews and does tend to flirt a little bit as well.

Well there are always gonna be haters and lovers. I personally love her not has model so much but I appreciate her has person and the way she has displayed herself across the public plus I do adore her style.

Aaaaanyways, 98 percent of aussies in the general public know and love her, yes there may be 2 percent who don't care for her or dislike her, but that's rare. At least I've never seen the two percent.

MOVING ON.
I like her interviews, I think she is really improving. I remember her first big interview for VS, she was shy and nervous, and now she has really come through as her own.

I hope Miranda has a wonderful new year, and I can't wait to see what the new year brings. Randa fans, can't wait to spend another year with you all.

Miranda is more then beautiful in her candids, where she is fresh faced, and glowing. I prefer her that way. She is the most beautiful girl in my eyes. I couldn't agree more that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Too true.

Yes, I guess, I could just say it cause I love her. But, I've honestly not met one Australian who didn't like her. Maybe because I hang around a younger crowd (17-19) I've never met one who didn't love her. It all depends, I should rephrase myself, out of the people I know- love Miranda. From what I've seen, heard- most love Miranda.

Why can't we move on, I wish I never brought it up, because Miranda can NEVER do anything right to a few people. I admit, she can do wrong, but I'm not going to ALWAYS, convict her of wrong-doings. I don't like being a judgmental person, if I dislike someone, I keep it to myself. Why would I judge someone when I'm not perfect myself? It's irritating, and it's degrading to my nature to judge someone I don't know.

I think you are right about the generational thing. I am 25 and the people I know/speak to etc find her irritating and vapid. I think she appeals to a younger generation of people more than us old folk

^ I guess so. But, until I meet an Australian from the general public who had anything less to say about Miranda, I will stand by my assumption. Miranda is probably the only celebrity my mother has ever actually liked. (Along with Rachel McAdam's and Angelina J.) I guess it mainly depends on the person.
