about time she got an ed in Australian Vogue. I don't understand why they have always snubbed her it can't be because she is too commercial. how Jessica Hart, Elyse Taylor, Samantha Harris, Rosie Tupper all have covers and miranda doesn't, it does not make sense. Those girls are more commercial then Miranda. Can't believe they have taken this long. Did they finally realise since she has shot for US Vogue, Spanish Vogue, Vogue Italia, Russian Vogue, V magazine, I-D, and Numero and scored campaigns for Prada and Jil Sander that they should finally use her? That Editor in chief of Aus Vogue should not be there, she is outdated. For Miranda's whole career she has snubbed her, now she wants her. I don't think Miranda has ever had an ed in there (except the reprint recently), I remember the feature she did with them with the water on her face, I might be wrong

I agree with all of you. I know that Christy is not a fan of VS, etc. But seriously, Aus Vogue is notorious for supporting their Aussie models - and it seems odd that Miranda has not been considered for a cover till now. And theirs no excuse for it. Miranda's the first Aussie since Gemma Ward to land Prada, Jil Sander and Vogue italia cover bookings... and that's saying a lot.

Le sigh. I just look at it as one more Vogue cover under her belt. Cheers to Miranda.

Its so weird that she is not a fan of VS but models such as Jess Hart, Elyse Taylor and Pania Rose have shot with VS (Pania and Jess have done SI also), but she loves them. Its all so ironic. Miranda is better then them 1000x over anyway lol

Yeah but then again, those girls have only modeled for VS while Miranda represents the brand. It's different, I guess.

It's not the a-h*le rather the butt cleft. The shadowing creates a mis-leading impression. Russell James has too much taste to include a-h*le in his book.

It seems like the shunning of Miranda by the Vogue Australia PTB pre-dated VS, or at least pre-dated being a VS angel. Even though it was mostly commercial work, wasn't Miranda an established and visible model in Australia and beyond before she got in thick with VS? Under normal circumstances wouldn't a model of that type have scored an ed or two with those credentials, not necessarily the cover or one of the main eds, but a little something-something?

Was Miranda established in Australia before VS? Well, she was the face of portmans in early 2006- an Australian clothing chain store, most people knew her for that. Before Portmans she was barely established here. She did Myer shows, Melbourne FW in her late-teens - early twenties, but she was just one of many Aussie girls. I don't think Christy Clements was too bothered with her then, it's not like she's going to book a portmans face - she's too busy reprinting. When Miranda first walked VS in 2006, that's when her popularity increased tremendously here in Aus. She had an ed for Aus Vogue in early 2007, hasn't appeared in the magazine since until recently when they re-printed her ed from US Vogue.
I just don't think Aus Vogue has taken her seriously as a model until recently. Clements whole 'holier than thou' act is so jaded.
