I'm not sure if this is relevant enough to be posted here, but this is really sad...

THE country house owned by supermodel Miranda Kerr's grandparents has been gutted by a fire this afternoon.

Gunnedah fire and police crews rushed to the property about 2pm after receiving a call that the house was ablaze.

A police spokesman said the fire had caused extensive damage to the property, which is owned by Miranda's grandparents Peter and Ann.

“It was a serious fire. There is plenty of damage,” he said.

The timber home’s tin roof was ripped off by the flames and there is smoke damage inside.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

MIRANDA Kerr is close to giving birth to her first child in Los Angeles, with a family member confirming to The Daily Telegraph that the Aussie supermodel went into labour in the early hours of Friday morning.

Following a false alarm on Boxing Day, when it is understood Kerr reported contractions, it is believed the model and her movie star beau Orlando Bloom are now into the real thing' with her parents Therese and John by her side.

"We did get a text on Boxing Day saying she had gone into labour but it was false alarm but I can confirm she did go into labour early this morning,'' an Aussie-based family member told The Daily Telegraph.

"I have been trying to get in touch with (Kerr's parents) but everyone's phones are going to message bank.''

Rumours that Kerr is expecting a boy have recently gone into overdrive after Kerr was spied shopping for boys clothes in LA recently.


Despite giving birth in the US, the model has made it clear that her bub will spend a lot of time in Australia, tweeting recently that despite having a US, European and Australian passport, her first born will be 'an Aussie through and through'.
