If you look for features in the photos around her hips and waist that should be linear, they are usually slightly curved - and this isn't an optical effect from a camera lens. You can see the geometrical pattern on her dress is skewed, the bookshelves behind her curve towards her, and in the hallway the pattern on the carpet that should be straight isn't. The features are all admittedly quite subtle, but they are definitely there. :smile:

At the end of the day, this really isn't a big deal as so many people photoshop even casual snaps. But for all the reasons other posters have stated, it is a bit hypocritical and disappointing that she in particular does it. Ah well.
 
I just saw that article on the TFS homepage and I must say this is really disturbing. It was one thing to be an overzealous fame hungry model who pimps her family out to the press to get pictured as this ideal healthy lifestyle guru, but this is too much! She is the ultimate in hypocrisy preaching about "Treasure Yourself". Disgusting, just disgusting!

I hope she answers to this and doesn't call it some "mistake" made by an assistant or something.

This is kinda sad, actually. If it was an isolated event I would probably believe she saw the photoshopped pic online and just reblogged, but after this many times it's just extremelly sad
 
Miranda acknowledged her mistake and posted this to Instagram along with the original image:

"Hi guys, here is the original VS image! When I re-posted the photo this week to support the girls I screen grabbed it off the internet when I was working in Japan. I had no idea it was photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show!"

I really don't believe it. She was caught in her lie and needed to cover it up. Anyone, especially a model (and ESPECIALLY Miranda) who must be very self-aware of their body for their career, would KNOW their own body and recognize that the picture was photoshopped. "I had no idea" my ***.

And as someone pointed out on the previous page, she has photoshopped at least 3 pictures of her recently.

I feel like models are pretty used to seeing edited versions of their bodies, so it's possible she didn't know too.
 
I don't think she intentionally made Doutzen look bigger, I think it was just a consequence of using the smudge Photoshop tool on Miranda's waist. You can see it as well in the pic with Michael Kors, her waist was Photoshopped making her own arm look bigger.
Definitely think this story's going to make Oz news...

Wow, that is a bit embarrassing... especially when her motto is that every girl is beautiful.

She's probably so used to seeing herself airbrushed to perfection that it's weird when she takes a picture and doesn't look like what she normally sees on a magazine. Doutzen and Coco have mentioned how they don't look like their magazine versions when they look in the mirror too.
 
If it was some random person on the internet who photoshopped it, Doutzen and Alessandra's waists would have been edited too. Miranda totally did it herself and, like Gabriel said, there's other pictures where she has tried to make herself look different. It would be wise of her to stop smothering everyone with the bullsh*t that is 'treasure yourself' when she spends her days editing photos of herself. What a vacuous hypocrite.
 
A gif just to top it all off, in the image she pulled randomly out of the internet, why is she the only one edited to look better, and Alessandra and Doutzen are stretched to look wider and she is the only one who has more contrast on her face....

I can't believe this made it to press. The power of comments online these days. I still can't tell the photoshop in the others unless it's really obvious like the above.

We'll see how this ends up but if she has some issues then that's for her to deal with. No one's perfect. She can dish out what she does and admit that she needs to apply it better to her own life too. One does not have to negate the other.
