THE ex-boyfriend of Aussie model Miranda Kerr could be facing a future behind bars - and not the kind he has allegedly been boasting about buying around town.
Adrian Camilleri, a Sydney finance broker, who dated the Portmans glamour girl for 18 months, will be sentenced on April 20, after pleading guilty to five charges of managing a corporation while disqualified.
The undischarged bankrupt was pursued by the ASIC over his role in the running of five companies which left a liquidation bill of $18 million.
Angry creditors are understood to include Camilleri's own parents, who were sadly forced to sue their own son after he allegedly used their Vaucluse home as security on one of his failed investments.
Friends of Kerr told
Confidential their pal also paid the price for their relationship, who is believed to have lost some of her own million-dollar earnings after taking Camilleri's financial advice.
"Her parents disapproved of him. It was an extremely traumatic time," one source revealed yesterday.
Camilleri faces up to five years' jail over the charges, when the matter goes to sentencing later this month.
That would put paid to the investment projects he's allegedly been spruiking - as the money man for new nightclubs.
Kerr was last week spotted in Hollywood supposedly flat-hunting with actor Orlando Bloom.
