Though to be fair, Naomi, Kate, Linda - they're from a different era entirely and the circumstances were entirely different. Back then models really did have *star* power in a true, glam, hollywood sense - they were personalities and muses and had control over their names, and themselves as brands.
That's because the model then was in a position, and at the time the industry was at a point where models could exert such power.
Nowadays the models are still great (though arguably so), and of course there are fabulous standouts such as Miranda/Coco etc.. but they're definitely not allowed anywhere near the level of influence or pure personality that the older supermodels were allowed.
Anyway - just a roundabout way of saying, I guess i feel the older iconic models are somewhat justified in the way they act - they're a product of their times. And it's nice that the current models are more humble and nicer - they're also a product of their environment (diva-tactics don't go down well these days!)
