Love that red dress on her. A bit of a change from all the over the top sexy dresses vs gets her to wear :)

^ I know right :)

I am used to seeing her in Herve Leger dresses

I think Dannii Minogue wore the same dress on Australia's got talent on Tuesday

i like the dress for miranda. its sexy in a more 'fashionable' (relative to what she usually has to wear) way, than in the 'obvious' way of the figure hugging herve leger dresses.
i just dont like the nude bustier underneath. it doesn't look like 'purposely exposed' undergarments, but it also doesn't look like its part of the dress.

She looks gorgeous. Not convinced by the handkerchief hem on that dress but nice to see her wearing something fitted and lady like rather than super-short.

There’s a supermodel in our midst, and no we’re not talking about Kate Moss being in Oz! Miranda Kerr has returned home to Australia to do her thing as David Jones ambassador – with the department store announcing 60 new brands for S/S 11-12, including three big name international celebrity collections.

During Miranda’s appearance at David Jones, Elizabeth Street, Sydney the store announced that Victoria Beckham, Lucy In Disguise by Lily Allen and the Kardashian Kollection (yes, it’s spelt with a K) will be going into store.

Australian labels Lover (Miranda wore the red, lace, Lover ‘Serpent’ dress for her appearance) and Carl Kapp are also new additions, as well as international brands Lanvin, Dries Van Noten and Hugo Boss.

Miranda will strut her stuff at the David Jones S/S 11-12 parade next week and rumour has it that husband Orlando Bloom – who is reportedly flying into town this weekend – will sit front row with baby Flynn

Date with Kate ... Miranda Kerr
Kate Waterhouse
July 31, 2011.

Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr was back in the country last week ready for her David Jones ambassador duties, which include wearing a bikini on the catwalk after giving birth only six months ago. She made lunch for Kate Waterhouse and talked about being a mum, getting back in shape and how her heart-throb husband, Orlando Bloom, goes changing nappies.

What's it like being a mum?

It's just the best thing I have ever done. To have children was one of the main things I've wanted to do in my life and it really was better than I ever thought it would be. I'm really lucky because I have a good-natured boy. When I was pregnant, I practised hypnobirthing, which is a daily meditation, and I practise a lot of yoga and I think that had a lot to do with him being calm because that was the first energy he felt. They say a calm mother is a calm baby.

You said it was one of the most painful things you've done.

Yes, I didn't know the baby was going to be so big. My doctor miscalculated and she thought he would be seven to eight pounds max (3.1-3.6 kilograms) and he was almost 10 pounds (4.6 kilograms). I decided to not have any pain medication and they had to induce me. When you're induced, it's much more intense but it was an empowering experience and I'm really glad I did it that way.

Will you have more children?

Right now we are just enjoying Flynn because he is just a bundle of joy and it's only been six months. I would ideally like to have more but we will see what happens.

What sort of father is Orlando?

He's amazing. He is so supportive and he is incredible with Flynn and he is really helpful and very hands-on.

Does he share the nappy duties?

Oh yes, of course, he does it all. When I'm working, because I'm breastfeeding I pump and then I put the bottles in the freezer and he feeds the baby and that way he has a good bonding experience, too.

Will you go back to modelling full-time?

No, my priorities are to be with him and just do select things, the things I love.

Was there pressure to get back in shape?

No, you would assume that. I put on 40 pounds (18 kilograms) but I wasn't fazed. I was eating so much and my grandma was like, ''Love, you had better stop eating. You're going to make a big baby and I don't know how you are going to push it out.'' I was like, ''Nan, it's fine,'' but she was the only one who knew.

How did you do it?

I did yoga during the whole pregnancy but, honestly, I totally gave my body over. I didn't care if I got stretch marks, I didn't care if I didn't get back into shape. My main focus was to have a healthy child and it didn't matter to me if I could model or not. I didn't have any aims to get back in shape. I'm also breastfeeding, which I think helps get everything back into shape but I was really happy because I have my skincare line, I've got my book, I'm happy to be a mum, so I wasn't pressed to get back to work but I thought that if I can balance it, I might as well do a little [modelling] while I can because it's a short-lived job compared to others.

Did you get stretch marks?

No, nothing. I put cream on every morning and night. I used Kora Organic Body Lotion all over my tummy and I got big, so it's a wonder I didn't get stretch marks but my mum doesn't have any, either.

Will you ever move back to Australia?

For now I can't because of Orlando's career but you never know.

Will you return to the Victoria's Secret catwalk in your underwear?

Yes, I will in November.

Will you do special training for that?

I will just continue to do more squats but I have to be in a swimsuit on Wednesday, which will be the first time since the baby.

Do you hope Flynn follows in his parents' footsteps?

No, I hope Flynn follows in his own footsteps and is his own person. I don't mind what he does as long as he has a good heart and stays true to himself. I think that is the most important thing.

WE WENT TO Miranda's Sydney home.

WE DRANK Still water.

WE ATE Miranda cooked organic salmon marinated in tamari, agave, sea salt and garlic with sweet potato mash; lemon coconut pudding (with lemons from her mum's tree) served with home-made chocolate ice-cream and a dash of lemon coconut cream. (Yes, she ate it all.)
