Miranda Kerr

Why? I thought it was good.
"'This old thing?' she says, batting her eyelids to no one and everyone in her native Australian lilt. Someone tells Kerr she's wearing 142 karats of diamonds."'

It's an alright written article, but the writer certainly purposely tried to portray her as a stereotypical pompous supermodel:rolleyes:... which, may i add, is a very tired and boring angle to write from, and i'm sure we have enough proof it does NOT apply to randa

Exactly.

All articles and interviews about her are astonishingly repetitive. She is all noni-juice, yoga and Lindt balls. I don't remember reading anything knew about her in the last, say 5 years? Even the breast-feeding thing got old by now.

And that is New York Magazine, which is renowned for sarcasm and snarky... ;)

From a journalist's standpoint Miranda is rather boring, atleast as far as being a celebrity goes. It's refreshing to us to see a celebrity with their head screwed on straight but it gives a journalist very little to work with when they're used to scandal and everything. I'm just glad the fact she's Australian isn't such a novelty in US media anymore, though the tabloids here always make a big deal of it. "AUSTRALIA'S OWN" "BORN IN SYDNEY" "RAISED IN GUNNEDAH" You just want to say, enough already!

Re : Miranda and interviews. I have no doubt she's a lovely person , love her as a model , think she's wonderful but her interviews seem so contrived and calculated to the point where although she's trying to sound intelligent it just sounds... vacuous and rehearsed. And her live interviews are even worse , she has this way of I don't know over acting and flirting especially with male hosts , furthermore she has this air about her , in her body language , where she really has this desire to constantly prove her beauty , I can't explain it.. if you watch her videos shes constantly touching her hair , posing .. etc I don't know it's hard to explain how but she seems to give off this attitude where she's more concerned with showing the person her beauty rather than promoting the actual product.. Love her , I really do but her interviews? I could do without.

I agree, It sounds like she rehearses all of her interviews beforehand because they all sounds the same. I guess it doesn't help when they ask the same questions over and over again.

I don't think Miranda's dumb (because you must have some brains to get as far as she did in modeling) but she puts on a dumb model act for the press. Quotes like "Orlando is great at changing diapers because he is a Capricorn" is not going to make her sound intelligent, it makes her sound like a gullible girl who believes in silly things like astrology, thus reinforcing the dumb model image.

I like Miranda but yes she can become quite 2 dimentional...
I kinda like that article even if quite strong...

Thanks for the article, Larek!
I actually enjoy reading articles about Miranda that are a bit different and go beyond the surface of what we already know, because, even though I am a big fan of Miranda, I agree with everyone who said that her interviews are just plain boring and, even more importantly, don't seem authentic.

I'm going to blame the journalists on this one. They all ask her the same questions over and over again and it's boring. No doubt she finds it boring to answer the same questions all the time. They could spend 30 mins watching old interviews, see what she's answered and come up with something new. I highly doubt she's dumb or stupid and they could broach more serious topics with her and see how that goes. Or even something other than Flynn [love the kid but yeah], Orlando, modeling for VS, etc.

What do you guys want her to talk about in interviews? I love her but really ... beyond VS, Kora, her book, being Australian etc etc what would she talk about?

Miranda keeps much of her personal life private, I don't think she wants to discuss it to journalists. Or at least not every new development and detail. And that's one of the things I like about her.

We read all her interviews because we're fans but the average person who only reads about her now and again probably doesn't find her boring because it is news to them.

I agree 100%

If she doesn't want to reveal much about her private life thats her choice, we have to leave her live. When someone becomes a celebrity they don't sign their lives away, she can still keep things to herself. I think Australia, Flynn, sometimes Orlando, VS, David Jones, the book, nutrition is a lot. Yes, sometimes her answers get repetitive, but what else is there to say about those things.

For Journalists what else is there to ask? I am sure her publicist puts limitations to what can be discussed. I don't see the big deal.

It's not just Miranda. Many models are asked same questions over and over again, as fans who already know all the "answers" it can be kinda boring to read such interviews but oh well for general public prolly not lol.

I don't think Miranda is acting dum. She stands for what she believes in and some poetry has never hurt anyone.

While that article does point out most of the things about her that annoy me (#1 being that she doesn't seem to understand not everyone has the kind of money she does), I don't think she's as ditzy as she acts. I think she knows that cute, fun, flirty model that does yoga and eats healthy sells better than smart model that wants to discuss controversial topics. I'm not saying she's a secret genius (by no means), but as others have stated, you don't get as far as her by being a moron. That's just my opinion of course, no proof.

to me she has a sweet personality but I don't know behind the curtain. But to be honest, where I think I could watch Gisele on interview all day long, I don't feel the same about Miranda. She is truly not interesting to me in interviews. But to her defence I bet the same questions always come up "how did you lose baby weight? how is it to be with celebrity..." but Gisele went through the same and was always interesting to me :)

now to move away from the rants I really hope to see exciting campaign for her and I hope she gets on some runway soon
