Miranda Kerr 'in talks with agents' to pursue Hollywood acting career... but what are her chances of making it from lingerie model to leading lady?

Following in the stiletto footsteps of so many supermodels before her, Miranda Kerr is now trying her hand at acting.

In a Thursday report from Page Six, the Victoria's Secret Angel was overheard saying, 'I'm talking to acting agents' during a Stuart Weitzman and Gilt party in New York City. The catwalker is already being managed by Gwyneth Paltrow's Hollywood representative.

'A lot of people will want to meet with her just because she's the wife of Orlando Bloom, so he will open doors for her,' Hollywood publicist Michael Levine of LCO tells MailOnline.

'She'll have no problem getting acting representation because she's already so famous and at the very least she can land a small part in a summer popcorn film,' Michael continues.

'But if she can have a lasting acting career, that remains to be seen. It depends on how hard she's willing to work.'

Miranda, 30, already has high-profile talent manager Aleen Keshishian of Brillstein Entertainment Partners working for her. Aleen represents not only Gwyneth, but also Miranda's husband Orlando, as well as Natalie Portman, Ariel Winter and Nina Dobrev.

As far as agents, the Australian for the time being is only working with her modeling team at IMG.

So far the star's only screen credit is modeling for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which was shown on TV.

The mother to son Flynn, aged one, has seen her profile rise recently with engaging personal appearances on Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, and Fox and Friends.

'Those TV spots could be parlayed into hosting gigs. It remains to be seen if they can lead to good acting opportunities,' Michael tells MailOnline.

Models before her who have given acting a shot have not fared that well.

Cindy Crawford, who was successful as a host on MTV's House Of Style, bombed in the 1995 Billy Baldwin action thriller Fair Game.

Gisele Bundchen failed to impress in the 2004 Queen Latifah crime comedy Taxi, though she was fine in a bit part in the 2006 hit The Devil Wears Prada.

Orlando, who has been in massive hits such as The Pirates Of The Caribbean and The Lord Of The Rings, has been taking a break from the big screen lately by appearing on the Broadway hit Romeo and Juliet, which runs till next year.

Gosh, if she's trying to get into acting I hope she takes some lessons. We've all seen her on film before, and it's not pretty :ermm:
