Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr was only carrying one piece of precious cargo as she boarded her flight out of LAX on Wednesday: son Flynn. The supermodel, who predominantly divides her time between homes in Los Angeles and New York, strutted through the busy airport with her soon-to-be three-year-old sitting comfortably on her hip as they prepared to embark on the cross-country trek back to the chilly East Coast.

Why is everyone so mean to Miranda? Jeez guys, lets calm down. Who cares if she photoshops herself, or gets her picture taken a lot, or even if she's hypocritical? I sure don't. She's a public figure, we are not going to be presented with the "real" Miranda ever. If you don't like how she's presenting herself, I advise you start ignoring it.
I don't think it's hate... or even dislike. But for her own sake she needs to stop the endless string of paparazzi photo-ops. Yes, she is a public figure. A model, not an A-lister by an stretch of the imagination. If stars like Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore, Sandra Bullok, etc. can live their lives and not be photographed every day - she certainly can.

When paps followed Drew in her younger days, it was obvious the shots weren't staged. It's quiet simple. Photographers aren't seeking out Miranda. Her publicist calls them. IMO, it'd be good for Miranda to take a little time off from posing all the time. She is suffering from over-exposure. It can hurt her. She's starting to become famous for being famous.

^I think she feels it's very important to be be exposed (or overexposed). Publicity is what all celebrities need the most to be/stay successful. Exposure connotes you're sought-after, which means sales for her brand Kora or possibly more collaborations with other companies. I don't mind seeing her pap photos, staged or not. She's beautiful, who doesn't want to see a beautiful woman clothed stylishly? And adorable Flynn, too. :D

Goodness, I wish everyone would calm down and stop acting like they know what's best for Miranda. Let's get back to her style, shall we?

Well unfortunately for her, she ain't getting overexposed from all the work she's doing.

When someone starts spending that much time in Asia that confirms to me their career is at worst on its' way down or at best in a trough.

what? why? so Anna Dello Russo being editor-at-large for Vogue Japan is a downgrading position?:(

Soooo....

the photoshoot we saw earlier of KK, Ale, Miranda, Alek, Helena and Isabeli for Pirelli was apparently actually just a special pre-shoot. They really ARE going with the 1986 re-release instead. Can't believe it!!

Here's more info, via Refinery:

"We reported back in August that the 2013 Pirelli calendar was underway, with a teaser shot by Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh featuring models Miranda Kerr, Alek Wek, Helena Christensen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Isabeli Fontana, and Karolina Kurkova in Risky Business uniforms. However, those photos seemed to be used just for an ancillary shoot, and the real 2013 calendar, which is the 50th anniversary issue, will instead be a 27-year-old photo shoot.

Shot by Helmut Newton, the calendar was never released in 1986 because there were two competing shoots — a British production involving Bert Stern and an Italian one with Newton. However, Newton had "to step down due to personal problems [involving] urgent family business." And, in the end, Stern's version was the released issue that year. Newton's has since remained unseen in the archives, until this year when it was reconstructed for distribution. Models Susie Bick, Antonia Dell'atte, and Betty Prado pose in Monte Carlo's Grand Prix among Pirelli tires — the brand's first foray into conspicuous product placement.

Why the last-minute bait and switch with calendars? Especially considering the huge caliber of both models and photographers? Pirelli states that the Lindbergh and Demarchelier portraits were a special shoot "to celebrate the anniversary" (British Vogue reported that the shoot acted as a preview to the actual calendar). For a giant company like Pirelli to rerelease an unheard-of issue for such an important anniversary without the sort of priming and teasing beforehand...well, it all sounds as fishy as Newton's last-minute "urgent family business." We've reached out to Pirelli for a comment, and they responded, "The Lindbergh / Demarcheiler photos released earlier this year was a special tribute shoot organized as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations for The Cal. This was a separate initiative to the release of the 2014 Calendar that has just been announced, being the unpublished 1986 Helmut Newton calendar. [We] decided to unveil this edition in this landmark year given Newton's iconic stamp on the fashion/photography worlds — and another cool coincidence is that the 1986 edition is actually usable as a Calendar in terms of dates lining up (for instance if the 1st September was a Sunday in 1986 it will be the same in 2014)." We'll give them that — it's a cool coincidence indeed! Click through for five teaser shots from the actual calendar."

Australian model Miranda Kerr has often spoken about how close she is to her family, especially her 77-year-old grandmother Ann. Last year the 30-year-old clotheshorse revealed that her glamorous gran had given her tips on how to keep a man happy, including wearing make-up each day and dressing in nice underwear. And now the mother-of-one has cited the senior as one of her greatest style inspirations in an interview with brand new fashion magazine CLIQUE
