That girl your talking about is her sister actualy

Hmm well I was going off what others in this thread had said. But I really don't see the resemblance. What does her sister do then? I thought someone mentioned that she was a fellow editor. So I'm assuming no.

^^ i love when she wears prada.

with her youth and her looks, she brings a very energetic vibe to it.

Here is a translation to the article from the previous page (I am getting really rusty with my Russian lately - not enough practice, so my apologies if some sentences sound silly):

Q. Miroslava, how long did you work with/for Harper's Russia and how did you become their special events correspondent?

A. I've worked with Harper's for just over a year. At first, I was covering mainly society events, later they offered me more serious project.

Q. What are your duties @ the magazine and what is your typical work day?

A. Basically, I am expected to do my job to the best of my ability. I am expected to bring the magazine ideas for interesting projects, for example, Scott Shuman's (The Sartorialist blogger) visit to Moscow organized by Harper's. He's done a very nice layout for the magazine that everyone will be able to see in our January issue.
As for my workday - thank God, I don't have a set schedule so everyday is different. I am trying to meet the deadlines as well as doing work for my charity with a great help from my director.

Q. There are rumors, that in March 2009 Anzor Karnkulov's (current editor-in-chief) contract is up Harper's and you are the front runner for the job. Any comment?

A. This is the first time I hear about this! Our office has a great working atmosphere. We are all great friends and I really hope these rumors won't change that. We are a great dedicated team that are united by our love of what we do otherwise we won't be doing what we are doing. Anzor is a great person and great at what he does - we all value his opinion and love him very much.

Q. Define your personal style? Who's was the most "fashion" advice you've ever gotten?

A. I never did get any fashion advice from anyone. It was always the other way around - since I was little, my mom and sister would always ask what would look good on them and wether it's in style or not. Today, I get my inspiration from my slosest friends, who I think are very stylish dressers. The say the same thing about me as well. I think it's nice to look to one another for inspiration, especially when it's the people you are close to and love. I wish that for everyone.

Q. As we know, you are an active member of the charitable organization "Planet Peace". What is the purpose of this organization?

A. I've been involved in charitable causes for a very long time. My family has as well. If everyone would think of the person next to them, especially the person that is in need of helping hand, this world would be a better place to live in. The main cause of our charity is the medical help for orphaned children and senior sitizens. My heart goes aches when I see an older person begging on the street. I just want to do anything to help. If you know of anyone that is in need of help, please let us know. It will be our honor to help them.

Q. What are your plans for New Years Eve?

A. I haven't yet decided but do have something in mind. I really hope I able to do what I've planned! Sadly, the situation in the world is not the most stable at the moment therefore my plans change daily. I think if you read the In and Out section of December issue of Harper's Bazaar, you'll get a pretty good idea of my New Year's Eve plans!

i also wonder if she's married because we dont' see her with a wedding ring.

She does wear a weddin ring - in Russia, you wear a wedding band on your right hand.:flower:

You can see a wedding band in this photo:

And here is a pic of her engagement ring:

thank you!! great pics and wonderful translation!! thanks for the pics of he rings :)

If I am not mistaken, her family is from Ukraine.

Also, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all the karma everyone! I am glad you enjoy this thread.:)

Love2shop thank you for clearing up who's her sister and who's her friend :flower:. And of course a big thanks for the translation!

I know almost nothing about her so its nice to be able to read a little bit about her.

I'm not sure that she looks stylish so much as she just looks so very, very *expensive...* I have not seen a single item on her that isn't a major designer. Even that leopard-print scarf she wears is Louis Vuitton.

She is sweet looking, but I think all the heavy-designer items (those giant croc Birkins!) overwhelm her tiny frame.

stylewise she seems to be hyper-trendy and luxe which im personally not into but at least she doesnt take fashion too seriously
she doesnt seem pretentious at all which is soooo refreshing :D

I am only guessing here ... but talking with a Russian fashion Stylist who is a member here ... I have learned that Russian women have a much different idea about what is stylish than the rest of the Western world. It seems to be a lot more over the top ... more fur, more embellishment, more color, more luxury (if they can afford it) ... just more of everything, all piled on together.

I am wondering if that comes from the fashion culture from the Czarist Russia period and then so many years during the Communist years with so little fashion at all. It seems like it might be an over reaction ... now that fashion is starting to take hold in Russia again. Just a wild guess ... but her style seems very much in keeping with all of this ... and her fashion sense just seems very Russian to me. Not bad or good ... just different.

Have we seen this? I think not. credit: spletnik

Thank you, stl! I still can't get spletnik to work on my PC so I really appreciate the updates!

she is gorgeous i love her hair!!
is that her husband with her? i'd love to see her in a wedding dress, i'm intrigued as to what sort of dress she'd wear..

Just went through the thread...in theory I should be saying I like her style because she's worn so many pieces I've loved like the floral Prada dress, the black Alaia dress and the various Birkins & Kelly's...but, I really don't find her style very inspiring or interesting. I think she's cute, but it's like her style is too "done" and too label obessed in an unironic way. She needs to ditch the It bags and Sprouse scarves in every colour, and I noticed some of her ensembles weren't that flattering but I mean, she's never looked bad. I guess thats her look, very trendy and flashy

o/t, does anyone have a picture of her husband? I'm curious

^yes i agree she has amazing pieces.. but I wouldn't call her a trend setter..I like her more than her style and i think that is where the appeal is- that' she's sweet looking and seems very down to earth and not the conventional model looking size 00 6 foot tall 'style icon' we usually get with most celebs.

I do think anyone with a bit of style and a bottomless budget like her can put together great outfits like she does, it's really just a matter of mixing very expensive designer wear...and tailored to suit her perfectly.. if we all had access to that and good taste then it's not hard ^_^i also find her style reminds me of Blair Waldorf from Gossip GirlB)

I'm not sure who her husband is , my friend who is Russian said that his name was Alexis something? i think it's the guy in the pic with her above...

I do love her hair and her smile.. she's definitely the prettiest socialite around:flower:
