Her mum clearly still thinks they are friends. On Lilo's E! True Hollywood Story she says part of the reason Lindsay got back into the business is because a lot of her friends were in showbusiness, people like Mischa Barton and Lacey Chabert and she wanted to.

There's definitely an interview somewhere where she talks about it, with a pic of them both at the Vanity Fair Oscar party I think it was. Lindsay said that Mischa has more 'downtime' than her, indicating that she was more busy or something, so they don't get to hang out a lot.
