Miss Sixty S/S 2025 : Bella Hadid by Carlijn Jacobs

Lol ew I can't believe this brand is still a thing. Although I did like their Jessica Stam campaigns.

Has the industry truly shunned Bella? After a much hyped comeback, only Saint Laurent and Miss Sixty came calling?

Or maybe she just slowed down, especially since she doesn't live in New York anymore. Not all top models get thrown to the curb once they turn 27.

Too old? She's literally in her 20s, which is exactly their target audience's age. What are you talking about?
When I didn't know much about the Hadids, Ive always assumed Bella was the oldest. To me she looks like she's in her mid/late 30s. She's stunning tho.

She’s not a top model; she’s a celebrity model. There’s a big difference. Real top models don’t have millions of dollars as a safety net. Most of them still have to work, even if it’s just smaller jobs, to keep their careers going.

I think the industry is finally moving on from the Instagirls. They had their moment, but let’s be honest—it’s not exactly a chapter in fashion history we’ll look back on fondly. They represent a specific era that’s starting to feel stale and out of touch. It’s time for something fresh, something with real substance that isn’t just chasing likes on Instagram. That said, their absence creates space for real models to finally book the jobs they were unfairly passed over for.

.
I though Top models was a term created to recognize successful, always booked, high earnings models. I didn’t know it was a social condition assigned for social justice….

I guess Carla Bruni wasn’t a top model?

Carla Bruni didn’t simply wake up one day and decide to become a model, nor did she rely on drastic transformations to fit the mold. Of course, having a famous sister certainly didn’t hurt her ascent either. :winkiss:

I mean she did.
She comes from a rich family in the first place. The same privilege probably helped her sister too…

I don’t get why modeling should be linked to a kind of social justice when it’s already rooted in the unfair nature of beauty.

Stella Tennant didn’t come from poverty either. And she had a quite terrific career.

The only person we could blame for Bella’s career is Carine Roitfeld. If plastic surgery was the gold ticket for a successful career, we would have had more surgerically enhanced successful models, no?

The makeup compliments her features quite well but I hate the slickback, her eyebrows are so high it feels like they're going to meet her hairline. I have mixed feelings about the campaign, they captured the 2000s nostalgia well but Bella looks like a blowup doll.
