Nature has always been a source of inspiration for Missoni and for the Italian house of fashion, which celebrates 60 years of foundation, and chose to set the Fall Winter 2013-14 campaign in the open air. In the photos by Alasdair McLellan, the rocky coastline of Cornwall is the set of the winter collection: atmospheres are almost extraterrestrial; energy overflows from the pictures.
Protagonist of the photos is Stella Tennant: the top model stands out against the landscape when she wears the historical pieces of clothing by the maison, while she becomes smaller in the photos dedicated to the 2013/14 winter collection. The fil rouge among the images is a cubic element, that is decorated with stripes, and that has different dimensions and purposes according to the photos where it is put: from being a small seat it becomes an habitat, but also a sculpture-object in the hands of the protagonist. The same set is used for the Fall Winter 2013-14 menswear campaign, starring model Paul Sculfor as protagonist.

A little bit sick of Stella....But this looks nice.

It may be because I often like Alasdair McLellan's work, but I rather like this. It's well balanced and my eyes go to the respective look on each shot

To say i'm sick of Stella would be an understatement. But yes, this looks nice. I like that graphic box thingy and the rest of the set is great too.

I hope Missoni will be more consistent with their advertising from now on. (And eventually get Meisel back :D)

It feels more like Chanel than Missoni, nice result.

Love this campaign..so shabby chic and cool.

It's a little weird to me that in the "Past" part they seem to only feature pieces that are just over 10 years old? There were already mostly new pieces in last season's campaign, too. I wish we would see more Missoni vintage pieces from the 60's and 70's in this. That's really my only complaint here, though. The concept is interesting, the location is amazing and the composition just works. I love the mood here, Stella seems so aloof and everything seems kind of cold and gloomy in spite of all the soft colors on the clothes and the cubic elements. This is really good! I love that they went for Alasdair McLellan this time. Perfect choice, IMO.

The concept reminds me back to 2002 with Gisele but this time is more darker. I love the idea so much. I'm glad that Missoni went back to this kind of campaign.

Love the shots of the vintage clothes, Stella looks fabulous and the backround is gorgeous.

This is absolutely beautiful but a bit too serious for a brand like Missoni.

I much prefer this over Teller's campaigns though, that's for sure.

I love this! The mixture of the studio shots and the outdoor shots are so cool! I like this!

she really bores me to tears these days (kudos to Karl Lagerfeld) but I must agree with the majority... she looks great (where she wears vintage pieces) and the campaign is nice too...
I just think I had enough of dryness in fashion... time to have some fun individualism... some character...

Not so good but i'm happy that they stop being Marc Jacobs wannabe, at least for this season.

I've seen this idea of the white box in a natural setting before, but here, with those calm colours (surprising for Missoni) and the stunning seascape it really works.
My god does she look dated in that photo with the tartan coat though.
