Miu Miu Uomo SS 2006 Milan

Its quite good but it is too similar to prada this time, usually there is more differation between the two lines but these season they seem too much the same.

In my opinion, S/S 2005 was so perfect that it is very hard to follow. Im exciting to see the whole collection, since this is really only partial. To me, it is very classic Miu Miu. I love it.

I agree. I wonder if any of that has anything to do with Prada's expressed interest to globalize the brand and get a larger stake in the American market? Perhaps they thought that by keeping miu miu closer to Prada this season, it may help in "initiating" new buyers to the brand.

Because it is true, as you said, in most seasons there is a marked difference between the two that is lacking this season. Of course, as I quite liked the Prada collection, I therefore like this one also, but it does seem less intuitive and relaxed than previous seasons and closer to the Prada trademarks.

I think the collection is lovely, it's effortless, down to earth, I love how the pants seem to be unfinished, just rolled up. A little of Marc by Marc mixed with Miu Miu. Mmm hmm....

The entire collection is up on vogue.co.uk now. Can't say I'm impressed; this season seems to be lacking the usual MiuMiu charm. Instead of traditional/quirky, I think Miuccia's doing lacklustre/weird. And is it just me, or is that one seriously funny-looking trouser cut?

Im getting an 80's vibe. And I am liking this so so much. Those pants above me (they seem like some sort of shantung or shiny polyester or maybe even rayon) are my favourite. Sort of a track pant collided with a dressier pair. I really enjoy the tiny touches like the pins and scarves. And the fact that Miuccia & Assistants made pleats look cool is genious. Very quiet and just breathtaking at the same time:heart:

I like it more than the other funny-looking trouser cuts popping up in this season's menswear collections. :p

I'm not happy with the rolled-up short sleeves, gives a fratboy vibe...

are the neckerchiefs supposed to distract us from the sharkskin suits?

these are good looks if the specials are embarking on a reunion tour, art directed by dwayne wayne from "the cosby show."

I don't like the shirts with no sleaves. I never do. I think it is not polite for a man to show his armpit hair in the company of others. Chest hair is ok, armpit hair is not ok.

I never like Miu Miu footwear. :(

But I love Miu Miu, overall. Thanks for posting those closeups. I especially liked the last two pictures in post #32, the last two pictures in post #33, and the bags, especially that blue one!!!
