Modeling age* How much of an issue is it?

Oh, stupid me. I wasn't at Balenciaga :lol: But when I saw her on style.com, I thought "WHY do the designers keep using 16 year old girls for everything?!"...and then I found out that she was 23 and felt a bit silly.

Yes, the girls are flying high at my age, but they have probably been at it for a while, they just haven't had the succes until now. I don't now when Sheila Marquez started, but Louise P started when she was 20.
 
With guys ... they are allowed to have laugh lines around their eyes etc. as long as they keep a strong chin line (no jowels) ... so older is OK, as long as they look rugged.

That kind of sexism is disturbing.
