Model's Street Style #2

Alexander Wang loves off-duty model style so much that it inspired his whole S/S ‘09 collection. And he's not the only one. With Fashion Month becoming an all too worrying distant memory, we thought we'd cheer ourselves up with a little look at what the models wear off the catwalk. After all, these are girls surrounded by new clothes constantly, so what they chose to buy, beg, borrow or steal is worth noting. The common uniform? Leather biker jacket, clunky boots (heels are for the real show-offs, no model actually wants to wear them all day), massive hold-all bag, skinny pants and oversized boyfriend sweaters. Not exactly appropriate for office attire, but worth studying for the purposes of weekend style-jacking nonetheless. Check out our top 10 ladies here...

the bags that these girls carry as satchels look heavy. i wonder how they stand there looking like their arm isn't falling off.

I own that very same plaid shirt Stam is wearing!

My model friend told me large bags are a necessity of the job. You carry your portfolio, books/mags/crossword puzzles etc. for all the waiting around, and high heels or flats to change into. Also, a lot of models package their own meals and snacks because the food at castings and shows isn't that great a lot of the time.

i seriously look in this thread for outfit inspiraton, but their clothes look so "one-of-a-kind". i cant find alot of them in stores

Does anyone know where Spur is from? Is it a Japanese magazine? Also, what sort of price range is it in? I really want to ask someone to buy one for me, I love it! thanks

^Yes it's a Japanese magazine. I imagine you could find it hiding in London somewhere to buy ^_^
