Models Switching Agencies

^ Defenitely! I really hope this means we'll get to see her more often now after all...

Good for Ymre, One NY should close  or merge with another agency

^^^finally  hardly recall any model thats been that messed up by her agency, so lets hope she finally gets all the work she deserves, respectively could achieve by her looks ^_^

ohh interesting. i always liked Julia, hopefully this means a comeback or smth along those lines ^_^

Good for Egle and Julia, I hope their careers can be salvaged.

nothing really strategic in Egle's case, her mother agency has for few months signed exclusiv scouting deal with NEXT, so they have to switch to Next all their girls that next want.

I personaly think that Elite did a great job for Egle, she was clearly down when she arrived there, and she got few good stuff after joining them.

Caroline Francischini: Women Direct NY ---> Supreme
Alison Nix: Women NY ---> Marilyn NY

I hope we'll be seeing more of Alison

^ Ah, thanks for the info - finally the mystery about her NY representation is solved. I was already worried about Alison as she is SUCH an underrated girl anyway... Really hoping for some more work now aswell!

^It is. Then it always depends of the model/agency combination as well. Some girls won't work well with IMG or Women and that doesn't make the agencies bad.

And the switch itself makes sense as Alison initially switched from Ford to Women back to the days Chris was still at Women and when Louie arrived at Women, Chris went to Marilyn. So, I don't know how much it's all related but it could be and then would be a good move for Alison!

Got to agree with you from A to Z on Egle's case. Her mother agency basically "followed" a certain man from Milano who went from his former agency to Next when they opened in town. Even the name of that lithuanian agency changed from Major Image to Image Group at that time...

As for Egle and Elite, thousand times yes. They did quite a great job with her since she arrived. She regularly appears in decent (and even much more than decent) magazines and there isn't a single month without a good editorial of hers at least. Hence I feel the mention of "career being salvaged" is rather not appropriate in Egle's case.

So, it's not career strategy indeed, more agencies connections as you say.

Well, I think it's always a bit tricky to say an agency is "good" or "weak" as it really depends on so many factors... But I think they could certainly do a lot for Alison. Though - actually reviving her career and bring it back to the level it had already reached in the past? Doubt it...

I've noticed in recent times that Marilyn has no problem with getting a girl to the top, but they haven't produced many models with high fashion longevity. I can only think of Caroline Trentini, who is now with Women. R'el Dade and Taylor Kraemer were bright stars for the S/S 2010 shows but this past season they weren't booking the same kind of shows. I really hope I'm wrong but Lindsey Wixson seems very hyped up and that often doesn't result in a long lasting career. We'll see what they can do with Eniko, Constance, and Liu because they seem to have a lot going for them.
