Well Agnete followed her booker (I guess you could say they poached the agent...) and Imogen switched because her booker at Storm (mother agent) left for Next London.

Tbh I don't think Next are worse poachers than Women, for instance. They've just done some really clumsy mistakes

Like why did they go after Meghan and Suvi? Those girls had already faded anyway...

Thanks modela, come to think of it, I do remember reading a blink and you miss it post about an agent leaving Next, I forgot that it was Ford where the agent landed. So Karmen makes sense now, especially if she is with the same agent who has gotten her her recent campaigns.

Wonder why she left them, I mean taking into consideration Marylin's current status among the NY agencies (eg cosmetic contracts for Liu, Constance + Arlenis) Id rather be worried to 'get lost' on that huge IMG board. Unfortunately, shes not that much of a big name (yet)

Tabea's mother agent is very difficult to work with, so I am guessing this is just him pulling strings and playing with her career, or Marilyn being fed up with his antics. Tabea is a gorgeous girl but if she couldn't reach any amount of potential with Marilyn it's doubtful IMG can push her any further.

I don't know the reasons behind the change and won't be able to give you more details on this now.

But one thing, we should always keep in mind a model (or a mother agent etc.) stays or goes to an agency not only because of its current status but also because of her own story at this agency. In many cases Marilyn will be the best in NY, in others it will be IMG and so on. But it's also a matter of mutual commitment and connection between people. If she did work as much as expected at Marilyn and think IMG would do more for her (and maybe she's right, in her case, future will tell us) then it's better to go even when the agency she leaves is said to be one of the "hottest".

This is kinda interesting because there a thread was created about the Forbes list of model earnings and Tyra's name was brought up (she wasn't on the list), and that got me to thinking that it is interesting that when Tyra retired from modeling, she really retired from modeling. I know that she did an ed or two, but they were mostly pictures accompanying a celebrity profile. That is what I assume that she will be doing now, but I assume that she wants to play in the same space that Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Heidi Klum and Sarah Jessica Parker play in. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next 6-18 months she gets a big cover and probably a campaign or two.

Actually I am surprised that she was off IMG's board, she has stayed on d'Management's (Milan) website, at least she was there last time I was on the site a few months ago. I don't know if they were actively managing her career or if she was just there for show, they have quite a few super/celeb models on their board.
