Well, i think Next is an amazing company, they've done excellent work for the last seasons, remember Nicola Haffmans, Marloes Horst and also don't forget about what they've done for Imogen since she "switched" from Supreme to Next. I'm really curious about the further way of Suvi & Meghan. I hope everything will work well for them!

No doubt Next is a good angency just unfortunately more know for poaching girls than making them. However every agency has different strategy in building up their image.
As for Imogen who would not do a good job on a girl after the 1st showseason she had with Supreme/Women/Storm???

It shocks me is because they're both quite synonymous with Supreme, but really, I doubt it's a big loss for the agency; both girls have pretty much already dried up and I doubt Next can revive them.

maybe both girls are just looking for more non-editorial work. I mean Meghan does a lot of edits and pops up on prestigious runways here and there, but the only money campaign I can remember her in is that Levis ad? I think...

Ditto for Suvi, for someone with her high fashion accomplishments, I can't recall her in that many high paying jobs. Not saying Supreme is at fault, both girls have a very editorial look, but.. maybe NEXT can open more doors for them in that arena.. or maybe its just a mother agency thing.. who knows, just pure speculation from me of course.

i am agree with the post before, their way to work just proove that from scouting point of view, they are under zero level. They build board just in paying check to attract the girls, exaclty just making shoppingh in boards other agencies, who them have real scouting programe to find girls.

it is what u call to the "friendiest people ever" you have a weird definition of what beinh friendly is, personally, done at the level they do it since about 1 year, i just call that a very very very low way of doing this business.

I wonder the same, especially the second part...
maybe they had a plan to build a board with a huge variety of models, trying to cover "everything" a client may ask for, gathering as many different types as possible... to make themselves different from some other agencies that focuse on a certain type of model and create their image around it... that's what I told myself when they signed Valerija Kelava and Karlie Kloss back then... and that would explain why they've chosen Meghan... still, I wonder how the biggest clients perceive the way the get their girls, image wise of course.... are they aware ? do they care or not ? since Meghan is strongly associated with Supreme, I mean it's hard to overlook this...

I find it so weird that Next would poach Meghan and Suvi of all people! What are they going to do with them? This chipmunk behaviour is weird, like they're trying to collect as many models (and enemies) as possible. I'm sure some of their current girls would be doing better if they weren't so busy stealing and expanding.

That said, I strongly disagree with comments about Next being "zero level" when it comes to finding and developing their "own" girls. It's a competent team. They've done a good job with Abbey Lee, Karmen, Anna J 2.0, Katie Fogarty, and most recently Anastasia, Shu Pei, etc. They're just poaching agressively too! It hasn't stopped the biggest clients from booking their models and the girls seem happy since no one's leaving (yet), but how long will it last?

^ I agree waffles, Next is really bringing up the competition..but to poach another model? it's another story. I mean they got BIG STARS already: Malgosia, Anna J, Cat, Abbey, Anja, Karmen, Katie, Kendra (originally with Ford), Anastasia, Shu Pei and ofcourse the BEST move in poaching history..Karlie Kloss (originally with Elite)....Meghan was definitely a BIG lost since she's one of Meisel's it-girls...So Suvi's career is drying up? I thought she was on leave I bet Next is trying to poach Jacquelyn from Ford they love to steal models from that agency..oh well, I hope they resurrect Gemma Ward though..that will surely seal the deal

i was really thinking about the very first step, the scouting, when i wrote that, development is another matter and for that for sure their structure is ok.
But, only the "big" names are published in this topic, for new faces still +/- unknown, it obviousy makes less noise, but they in fact poach complety new faces as much as big names, and a that level, i think it is very poor level way of work.
For a 15 years girl arriving from Romania or Lituania, a cheque of 5000$ can be a very very tempting proposition already.
but for Next is just nothing else that to buy girls for cheap, as i said exactly like doing shoping in supermarket to make your caddie as full as possible, and i even dont give details about the way they approach some girls...

I dont judge the result;, i just say that some agency as big, or even bigger than Next just has a minimum of ethic of work which clearly Next dont have...

umm did you read the rest of my post saying

Have you been in the agency and met them? You wouldn't expect them to do any of this. They honestly are really nice to you when you are in there.
