Models Switching Agencies

Alyssa Miller: Elite NYC, Oui Paris, Select London --> IMG.

She's still with Monster in Milan.

Anyone know if Elite NYC is doing well? Find it so quiet there sometimes. Nothing new.

They just got Grace Bol and they have a few steady, key girls (Janice, Ji Hye, Nicole Pollard, Jamie Bochert, etc) and some strong new comers who are bound to do pretty well next season IMO (Rihanna Porter, Alana Bunte, Sofie Sjastaad, Emma Oak, Muriel Beal and more). I think they are one of the agencies least affected by all this "switching bookers" madness.

Can anyone tell me if the switch from Marylin Paris to Oui is a good move? I refer to Magdalena Jasek. Marylin seemed to do a good job for her...

I personally think it is, Oui definitely has a handle on its newer girls and Marylin really only has two or three new girls who are doing well atm. Oui has Irina Nikolaeva, Ji Hye, other Elite NY girls who are doing really well in Paris atm and Madga had a pretty good couture season with Oui so I have pretty high hopes for her there ^_^

Thanks for a reply. I guess I'm overreacting after seeing how many successful models' careers have suffered because of a sudden agency switch...
It's a bit off topic but I started to freak out a little when I compared her previous season couture list (Iris Van Herpen, Giambattista Valli, Ulyana Sergeenko, Bouchra Jarar, Valentino) to JPG, Valli & Valentino this season. (I still hope she'll get a FW campaign).

I think Oui was trying to go for quality over quantity, a lot of newbies also came onto the scene and snatched some spots in the smaller shows. Oui seems like a pretty good fit for Magda imo

So I was right Chris Gay did end up joining Society. So happy for their team

It's about time Liu Wen joined them over there. Also, I thought George Speros would follow Chris, unless Marilyn's offer to him is too good to resist...

Liu leaving is only a matter of time since she is very close with Society social media person.

Is he president?

Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima has left longtime agency Marilyn and jumped to Society Management, an arm of the internationally known Elite World. Her agent, Chris Gay, was a top booker at Marilyn for more than a decade, but left recently to become general manager of the year-old Society Management and executive director of North American operations of Elite World Group. Brazilian beauty Lima has starred in ad campaigns for Miu Miu, Maybelline and Kia Motors. Last week, she walked in a show for Desigual during Barcelona fashion week. Society Management’s roster of beauties includes Irina Lazareanu and Lindsey Wixson.

Society is the New York branch of Elite World. Elite NY (and the other North American locations - LA, Toronto, etc.) have no business connection to Elite World (Paris, Milan, London, etc). So when they say he is the North American operations exec director of Elite World, the only actual agency that is directly a part of that network is Society.

(Maybe someone can correct me but I think Society is the only Elite World division on this side of the pond)

^Thanks for the explanation even though I am kind of still confused. Models.com has Adriana with Elite Paris (but still has Marilyn NY and Paris listed along with The Society), so I think it's safe to say that's where she went.

Wow. So is there any hope left for Marilyn NY?? I'm just gonna wait a few seasons to see what the agents left at Marilyn can do. Other than that (as I said before), it ain't looking to good for them. Hopefully they can keep Arlenis
