I have only just now read the article accompanying this ad and realised that the interviewer is quite mean to Mona. My german is rusty but I know enough to understand that the interviewer likens Mona to a very pretty but bland fish with a blank look on her face. He then goes on in similar vein to mock her answers to his questions about what she does in NYC in her free time. He is very patronising.

It's the usual infuriating "dumb supermodel" approach. Given that Mona was probably answering questions put to her in German or English - neither of which are her native language - she deserved better.

'Where were you, when they informed you you were getting the campaign?' . Can't remember anymore. bloob. 'What do you do when you have some free time in NYC?'. I go shopping. bloob. 'Where?'. In Soho. bloob. 'Ok, but do you have any favorite place to shop?'. Sure. bloob. 'Aaaaannnnd?'. I have no idea of the shop's name. bloob. 'And what else do you like to do?'. Long bloob. So stupid. Sulky fish? (beleidigter=offended, insulted, sulky etc.) I'm sure Mona could've handled the questions better, having a day off is no excuse when you're a spokesmodel, but she's definitely not dumb or arrogant!
