Thank you keri-lynn! She looks so pretty and fresh in that video! I stopped by the store again today and picked up the September catalog, which features Mona again (same shoot as the video in fact). Enjoy!

Taviani updated their website (the Italian part at least, the English part remains un-updated). Most of these we've seen before but there's one gem in here that wasn't in the catalog Diciassette scanned as well as some lovely close up shots Also, there's a behind the scenes video on the site that you can view there or download from rapidshare here.
Entrepreneurship - I thought I would quit modeling after I started my business with horses. But in this branch you are lucky if you earn plus minus zero.
Mona Johannesson has been working as a model all around the world since she was 14 years old. In september she'll become 21. Even though her career has earned her a lot of money, she's not ready to quit yet. "All the money I have earned and will earn, goes directly into my business. It has gone to the farm in Fägerstad, to a new stable, new riding hall, horses, saddles, electricity... everything costs."
It's her modelingcareer that has made it possible for Mona to invest in her interest in horses and it's what finances her business. "As long as it is in the construction phase, I will continue working". At the moment, Mona works an average of one day a week as a model. The rest of the time she devotes to the horses. "I'm educating myself in natural horsemanship. It's very interesting. I have got more knowledge and more contact with my horses. With horses, one is never fully educated and you have to accept help when you need it. You cannot be too proud."
Mona has grown up with horses and has had her own horse since she was five. That's why already a long time, she's had a clear plan on how her life should be after her career in modeling. Two years ago she bought a horsefarm in Fägerstad and last summer the new stable was ready. It was then when she got interested in breeding various halfblooded horses. "Unfortunately, we had only one foal. One mare had a miscarriage". Breeding is probably what interests Mona most and she is constantly looking for horses with an interesting pedigree.
The new stable will be ready in days and in the autumn Mona will fully start the operations. She's thinking of hiring coaches and arranging different courses, for example in carriage driving. Then she will also start searching interesting young horses to purchase. These will be trained for one year and then sold on. "In here you can't find horses that you will find everywhere, I will concentrate on quality, not quantity".
To start your own business is not something you do in an instant and the progress towards their goal hasn't been completely straight. "We have learned a lot on the way" tells Mona's mother Pia Hedberg. She is employed by her daughter and takes care of paperwork and also the stables during the weekends when Mona is away working. "It is she who keeps track of me" laughs Mona, "I'm not very well organised, so mom works as my living calendar".
It's not only Mona's mother who looks after her. The whole family helps. Grandfather is busy in the garden and grandmother is the one who most often takes care that Mona and Pia will get the food they need. "No one of likes to cook, so it's often take-away (food)", tells Mona with a broad smile. "It comes a bit more expensive, but it saves us the time instead and that's worth it right now". When it's not take-away, it's the grandmother who cooks traditional homemade (Swedish) food . "She will call and tell the food is ready, then you'll just sit in the car and drive to Ingelstad to eat".
Supermodel Mona Johannesson is in full speed with building her horse-business.
Halfblooded Donna and her three-month old filly Stella like to cuddle with Mona.
Donna makes a rolling-test on the seasand that forms the base of the brand new riding hall.
In the brand new stable, there are eight large boxes, horse-shower, foodstorage and saddle(equipment)room combined with a room where you can have coffee/ refreshments.
Some of the people on the comments posted on the article are criticizing her a bit ...
